If you've received a review from this account, it means I do not trust you to be mature about reviews. That means I have reason to believe you will delete an unsigned review from me or, if I leave a signed review, you will flame me and my stories.

Being too immature to accept honest opinions and constructive criticism is not a good thing. I encourage you to think strongly about your attitude and whether posting your stories online (where anyone is free to dislike them) is right for you.

I will never flame a story or an author.

However, let's make it clear what constitutes a flame and what does not. Constructive criticism is not a flame. Neither is expressing a negative opinion of the work.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: You should use a spell-checker or get a beta reader.
FLAME: You are the worst writer ever.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: I think you could improve your story by ...
FLAME: Your story sucks. Delete it.

HONEST OPINION: I don't like this story very much.
FLAME: I hate you.

Those are only a few examples. I hope you can see the difference.

And before you say I don't know what I'm talking about because I have no stories, let me say: I do write fanfics. But I want reviews to be honest opinions of my work. I don't want bad reviews from people who didn't even read my stories. I don't want to deal with people out to get "revenge" because I dared suggest they get a beta reader or pointed out or otherwise criticized their story.

(This was formerly the home of my badfic experiment.)
