6/4/13 So I really haven't been around much in a long long while, and for this I am deeply sorry! TVD isn't tickling my muse so much anymore. But I still adore the show, and I'm still reading and following a ton of stuff. I do have to admit that as school as gotten more stressful, I've had less and less time, and I apologize profusely for not reviewing much. But seriously, a follow means I'm desperate to read more. I'll try to review as much as possible from now on, I know exactly how frustrating it is to know someone's reading your work but isn't telling you how they feel about it.

As for my writing, I do very much want to keep this open for future use. Who knows when the TVD feels will come back? For right now, I'm really enjoying New Girl, it's totally my new obsession (especially Nick/Jess). So don't be surprised if I break into that fandom a little more. I'm also really into How I Met Your Mother (Barney/Robin). So if you see me branching out, don't be too surprised! I hope you'll stick with me as I explore other fandoms. I can't promise new stuff very often, but I do know that I still adore writing and will not be giving that up anytime soon. So check back periodically if you're interested!

I'm Lily. I was once on Fanfiction many many moons ago, but I forgot my password & basically decided that I wasn't that interested in fanfiction anymore. That was when I wrote for the Harry Potter fandom. My profile's still up here, but I'm not going to direct you there because honestly it's not really worth your time!

Then I discovered the show The Vampire Diaries and I fell in love. I started reading fics here again and I started writing some, too. Eventually I decided to stop leaving anonymous reviews and start posting my own stuff.

I basically have this account for my own benefit, because there's nothing nicer than seeing your words in print, in my opinion :) But if you so chose, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my fics, and I'm sure to leave comments on any fic that moves me (which is a lot of them!) I don't really see myself writing for any other fandom than TVD, because that's the whole reason I'm on here anyway, but I do continue to love Harry Potter, as well as the TV shows Dawson's Creek and Glee. I have written a couple of things for the DC fandom (all Pacey/Joey), but mostly for myself. I doubt I'll be posting those.

If you want to know what my fics will focus on, here's a little bit that might help:

Loves: Caroline, Tyler, Caroline & Tyler together, Delena, Stefan/Katherine, Stefan/Caroline (especially onesided), Bonnie/Jeremy, Damon's tortured soul, angst, Matt/Katherine (It could happen! ;) ), Original dynamics, Rebekah/Stefan, Klaus's loneliness, unlikely romance, unrequited love, siblings, oneshots, the Ric/Damon bromance, Jeremy wanting to be Damon, minor characters, Anna, Uncle John's love for Elena, unlikely alliances, parent-child relationships, post-season2 "Let's try to find Stefan" fics. New obsession: Klaus/Caroline. So wrong it's right. I'm also increasingly into Rebekah/Matt. Yum.

Dislikes: Elena & Bonnie's endless righteousness, Bonnie in general, Stelena endgame, multi-chaptered fics with too much plot (lol I know, I know...), Isobel, Matt/Caroline, vapid!Caroline, bashing, AU AH.

So all that said, there are exceptions to every rule...Bonnie can be fantastic (ie 2x21, most badass scene ever), Stelena can be adorable, "Let's try to find Stefan" can be tiresome, Isobel can be cool, AU AH can be INSANELY wonderful (those I have definitely come across!) But generally I like to write/read a minimum of Bonnie, Delena, interesting takes on "Let's try to find Stefan", no Isobel, and no AU AH.

But never say never :D

I'm probably only going to be writing oneshots, and not following up on them. I'm not very good at updating stuff, nor am I very good with story arcs...I like little shots into characters' minds. Some of my fics are going to be obscenely short, just a heads up!

My fic titles are mostly all from songs, and music really influences my work, so I'll let you know if I've been inspired by a song. My music tastes cover pretty much everything, from Disney to the Beatles to Ben Folds to Ingrid Michaelson to Sufijan Stevens, and beyond. I'm totally open to song recommendations at any time! (Note: I just discovered Cage the Elephant thanks to a recommendation from my friend, and they are really wonderful. If you don't know them I highly advise listening to Right Before My Eyes or Ain't No Rest for the Wicked. Seriously, quality stuff.)
