I am heavily heavily influenced by Stephen Lawhead, Terry Brooks, and Madeline L'engle (in that order). In fact, to understand the way I see the world of my creation - reading "The Endless Knot" trilogy by Stephen Lawhead would be the place to go. Read those books even if you don't care to understand my world. They're just that good.

Highlander:
It is an AU where magic exists, but is unknown by 98% of the population. I like to stick with the tv show canon and timeline, but you will have to put up with the odd departure, or playing with the amount of time that I think passes between (and sometimes during) episodes. I don't like to get too far off the timeline, so hopefully you'll be able to forgive it, much like I have forgiven others their wanderings.
I hated the entire 6th season, except for "Indiscretions" so I am highly likely to pretend it never happened at all.
I go back & forth on the Ahriman arc and what I (wish) think was going on there - so don't expect every story I tell to deal with it the same way.
I'm also the same way with the movies. But we are going to pretend that The Source was never made. Ever. Please.
