Spencer is a single-mother trying to take care of her four-year-old daughter. Spencer and her daughter are at a bank when three robbers run in. Toby is single trying to make a living as a cop. He gets called on to the scene of a robbery. What will Toby do in order save a poor, young woman and her daughter?

Spencer is on her way to Maine where she will be summering with her family. She's looking forward to sitting out by the pool with her books and going to the beach. When her family's car dies outside of town she encounters a gorgeous mechanic and in an instant her plans for the summer change.
