![]() Author has written 4 stories for Soul Eater. And the water below gives a gift to the sky And the clouds give it back every time they cry Make the grass grow green beneath my toes And if the sun comes out I'll paint a picture all about The colors I've been dreaming of. Talk of the Town: Jack Johnson My Stories/Series: X. No*Bravery: When one ninja looses himself to the madness, no one is quite the same. A long-ish (about 5,000-6,000 words) oneshot based on the song No Bravery by James Blunt. Black*Star looses himself to the madness and his friends are sent to bring him back to Death City for a trial (because he is no ordinary kishin egg: he is a meister who did not choose this path of his own free will, but because of the madness). What surprise awaits them when the meet up with Black*Star? And all the while, it is so hard to stay brave. (Warning: implied character death). Rating: T; for some unavoidable cussing (I tried, but it just didn't sound right without it! Darn you, Soul!). Current Status: Complete. X. Fusion: To fuse soul wavelengths, the strongest of bonds must be forged: Weapon and Meister friendship. A compilation of stories highlighting major moments in the formation of 3 meister-weapon teams: Death the Kid, Liz, and Patty; Black*Star and Tsubaki; and Maka and Soul. Each story contains 5 chapters, written as one-shots (so they are not connected), beginning with the moment they meet. These are manga based, though they can easily be read after only watching the anime (my pre-reader/editor has yet to come anywhere close to finishing the manga, but she has assured me that it doesn't at all affect the ability to read these). Please keep in mind that NOWHERE in these stories is the love expressed intended to be anything more than friendship and, in some cases, near-familial. Rating: May vary, uncertain at this point in time. Probably mostly T. Current status: second story, Complexity, is complete. Note: I hope to update once a week, maybe more once I write Weakness O. Admiration: The bond between a polished young shinigami and his unconventional Brooklyn girls. The first story in the Fusion series: Death the Kid, Liz, and Patty. Rated for some chapters, particularly the fourth, that have some dark and slightly thematic implications (nothing explicit in the slightest, just a suggestion of something that happened that may not be suitable for children). I've done a lot of research on street life and I hope I've done the Brooklyn Devils justice! Rating: T: some dark and thematic implications Current status: Complete O. Complexity: They aren't as simple as they seem. The second story in the Fusion series: Black*Star and Tsubaki. Though others may see their lack of conflict or dramatic emotion as a sign of a simplistic give-and-take relationship, this ninja and Magic Dark Arm are much more complex. They simply understand each other; but it takes a lot to get to that point. Rating: T Current status: Complete O. Weakness: Because sometimes you need to be broken for your friendship to build. The third story in the Fusion series: Maka and Soul. The title and summary are not yet concrete or definite (you'll notice they're a lot sloppier than the other two). I'll probably write more here as I write the story. Rating: yet unknown Current status: Almost finished writing first chapter X. Supernova: A mysterious young girl is recovered from a dangerous organization. As the Soul Eater team trains and protects her during her growing-up, they begin to see just how important she may be to destroying the kishin. I started writing another story about the events leading up to this story before deciding to write this one first and make that one a prequel. I still have to plan/map this one out a little bit more before I begin writing it; this one's giving me a hard time! (Grrr... I will defeat you...). It will be a full-length chapter story, and I promise not to make you guys wait until I write the WHOLE FREAKIN' THING before I start posting. It will revolve around a young girl as she grows up, technically within the custody of the academy but mostly living with different members of the Soul Eater team, and discovers various dangerous skills and overcomes (or tries to overcome) the horrors that she went through from the organization that held her before she was recovered by the academy. Her parents, her background, etc., etc., will all be recurring extra plot lines throughout the story. And there's an extra little thing about her that makes this a lot less boring; but you're going to have to read to find out what! Rating: yet unknown. I'd guess it will be T for probably cussing (Soul Eater characters do that a lot, if you listen/read closely enough to catch it). Current Status: planned and mapped; I just have to write a couple chapters and begin posting! |
