A different turn of events. After Loki's imprisonment, there comes another prisoner who's determined to make Odin suffer. Thor found a different way to deal with the Aether. As Loki rots in his cell, Hela is released and steered in the World-Walker's direction after failing to retrieve Heimdall's sword. Set about halfway through Dark World this is my explanation for where Odin ends up and what Loki has to do with everything. It also probably won't make any sense after Thor 3 so best I put it up now. Rating for blood.

Odin and Frigga arrive and rescue Loki but by the time they arrive Loki is catatonic. While Frigga and the healers try to stabilize Loki, Odin casts Thor without Mjolnir to Midgard where he has little hope to ever return.

Tony and Loki are trying hard to concieve five years after the birth of their daughter. Steve is being let out of prison, and with new threats arising, Tony is going to have to take action to keep those he loves safe. Is now really the time to be bringing children into the world? Especially now that Pepper's young son has put them all in grave danger.

Post-Avengers. The Chitauri are back on earth. Thor and Natasha visit Loki, who is getting every day sicker in his cell. Something is not quite right. Loki angst!
