03/06/11: The fic I'm most proud of, Counting Scars, was nominated and WON as Best Angst/Tearjerker Fic at the Livejournal community rhr_awards. I'm ecstatic, to say the least. This fic is my baby. My first real fic. The first one I put a lot of time, effort and love into and to have it win as Best Angst Fic among so many amazing R/Hr authors is the best feeling ever! As always, thank you everyone for your support! A writer is nothing without readers :)

01/06/11: I was nominated as Kindest Author and my Dudley/Luna story "What Other's Can't See" was nominated as Best Hetero at the 2010 Deathly Hallows Awards. I wanted to thank you very much for everything. For reading, reviewing, adding me to favourites and/or adding me to your alerts. Just...thank you :) Winning is not all, just the cherry of the pie. Hello! I'm Bendleshnitz. :)

Who am I? I'm a 23-year-old Argentinean who loves Harry Potter. I write for fun. I'm not planning on being a professional writer or having a career out of it. This is just my hobby and something that takes me out of real life for a while. I really enjoy it and it's my outlet whenever I'm sad, angry or happy.

Language difference: English is not my first language of course, but I have more fun writing fanfiction in English than in Spanish. I warn you that I have lots of mistakes so if in the summary says "Not betaed" and you can't stand spelling and grammar mistakes; then hit the back button. The ones that don't say anything are betaed.

Why I write what I write: I started writing regularly not long ago and I'm always trying to push my boundaries, trying new things, new kinks and new characters. Many times I don't agree with what the characters do. So I'm telling you now that my personal beliefs don't always apply to my stories. I'm not in favour of infidelity or incest (for example) but that doesn't stop me from writing it. I think that one thing is fiction and other -completely different- is real life. If any topic/plot/whatever offends you, don't read it. You can choose something else to read in my profile. I have a wide variety of topics, plots and characters. :)

Fic lengths and requests: Most of the fics are created thanks to a prompt or an exchange/fest on livejournal communities; or just challenges I create with my friends on livejournal. Some stories are short because they must apply to a certain word limit. I'm really sorry if you think some are too short. If you review asking for it to be longer or for a sequel/another chapter, I may think about it. I have a soft spot for requests and I try to complete them. However, sometimes the story in my head just ends like that. Each case in particular will be explained to you when I reply to your review.

Reviews: Now that I touched the topic, let's talk about reviews. Take into account that reviews are what makes a writer want to keep writing. I really appreciate them and always reply to them. I thank all of you who had added a story or me into your Story/Author Favourite/Alert list. I really do. But know that a simple, one-word review is good too. :) Constructive criticism is always welcomed (having into account that I already explained everything about the plot/warnings subject)

Me as a Reader: I created this account in order to review all the fics I had started reading a few years ago. Now I'm very active on livejournal and I don't read many fics in fanfiction.net other than the ones that appear on my e-mail because I had added them to my Alert List. If you want me to read something in particular just tell me. I'll be happy to. Just please bare in mind that I don't always have the time to read super long/multi-chaptered fics. However, I always review what I read. If you haven't received a review from me, I haven't read it.

(Not) Canon-compliant pairings: The fics posted here are very varied. I'm not an exclusive "Ron/Hermione" writer, for example. I always try to write new, fun pairings. Canon and not-canon compliant. The ones not canon-compliant have a warning in the summary. The ones that don't say anything about it, it's because there's no official record of what happened to them in canon or because even though new pairings may be formed, the married canon couples have married and had the kids JKR gave them. This means: if it's a Bill/Charlie fic and it doesn't say in the summary "not canon-compliant" it means that Bill, even though is with Charlie, has at one point married Fleur and had their three kids.

WIP/Multi-chaptered fics: Some stories say WIP in the summary. This means Work In Progress. Chapters will be updated in order to continue the story. I don't promise to update regularly. It depends on what other things I have in my schedule and how my inspiration regarding that story works for me at the moment. There are some one-shots posted that ended up being a multi-chaptered fic. You can see them posted as one-shots and then as a chapter in a multi-chaptered fic. If you want to follow the story, then add the multi-chaptered one in your Story Alert List.

Warnings: Almost every story (especially those with high ratings) have warnings. I try to warn as much as I can so as not to offend anybody. Out of respect to the reader, I think it's my duty as a writer to warn for anything that anyone might find unpleasant. This includes things that are legal and illegal. Why am I touching the legal aspect of this? Because I received a very kind review that pointed to me that relationships between cousins are not considered incest, that it is legal in the UK (where the HP characters live) as in many other countries. This person had a very fair point. With valid arguments she/he explained that these type of relationships were more of a taboo than actually illegal. I analyzed this and came to the conclusion that from now on I'll warn the relationships between cousins as "cousincest". I think incest is a valid squick to have and I don't want to offend anyone by not warning it. So, if the pairing is related in any possible way, I'll warn it; no matter how close or not they are in the family tree. Better more than less, right? ;)

Why did I change my profile? I think I've covered all the points I wanted to clarify but if something else comes up I'll update it and highlight it so you know it's new. The change in my profile is due to my changing position here. I'm no longer an active reader, but an active writer. So things changed. Sorry if this is long. Thank for reading it those who have. :)
