![]() Author has written 3 stories for Protector of the Small Quartet, and Hobbit. So... I'm a 16 year old girl from a boring old town in the US on the East Coast. I'm not all that good at writing but I'm giving it a shot. I love Tamora Pierce and have a few story ideas so I'm working on it but I have a new puppy and am super busy so if I don't update totally consistently, I'm sorry. I ride horses, play the piano, sing, go to school, work, do mock trial, play soccer, and participate in theater productions. Oh yeah, and I volunteer my time to a Therapeutic Riding group. I'm raising a seeing eye puppy who is a black lab and she's the best, but she also saps all of my time, so if I'm not a consistent updater, don't kill me! My life is busy! I adore animals, as demonstrated by the fact that I ride horses and work at a therapeutic riding stable. I don't have a horse, though I wish I did, but I have an adorable 6-month-old black lab named Grace. She's training to be seeing eye, so I take her into school and everything. I'm also a vegetarian and I like to think that my family makes a bit of a difference. I've always loved English in school, but I'm an all-around nerd who likes Environmental Science, Physics, and French best. Math is my hardest and worst subject. I love reading fan fiction, especially Tamora Pierce fan fiction. While I wish I could write stories that other people could enjoy like I do their stories, my writing is not that good. I really do like my story Castaway, but I find it very difficult to put my thoughts into an enjoyable book. I think mainly in dialogue, wherein lies the problem. Anyway, I do a bit of writing, no beta-ing, and lots of reading! Just in case anyone wants to know, my favorite authors are Tamora Pierce, J.K. Rowling, Terry Pratchett, China Miéville, and Kristin Cashore. Oh, and Garth Nix. Seriously people, get on that ;) -RealProtector If you like Tamora Pierce or the Kel books, please go and read Fallen by Confusedknight. It is easily the most incredible book I have read on fanfiction.net. Things that I wish I could change about me: I'm really shy and that's all that anyone ever thinks of me. That and, "She's a nerd." I'm really not that bad. I also wish I were more athletic, and that I had more motivation to write. When I actually do it, it's fun, just hard! Things that I would never change about me: I have the coolest older siblings. But really. They're super. Also (this sounds really vain but) I love my hair. It's strawberry blonde and I'm the only one at school with hair my color, which is fun. I like being unique. My friends are the best people ever and I wouldn't exchange them for the world, weird and obnoxious as they are. Favorite things: color=blue, animal=horse, dog breed=lab or golden retriever, dessert=ice cream, food=tofu, drink=hot chocolate, subject=english (duh) Random things that really irritate me: When people make assumptions based on your grades or the fact that you read a lot (oh, so you must be a nerd with no friends) or based on the fact that you are a girl (oh, so you must be petty and gossip a lot and care solely about your appearance and boys) or based on the fact that you are a teenager... (oh, so you must be really obnoxious and condescending) Basically, I just hate assumptions. I despise guys that analyze you based on your appearance and then think that you'll never find out what they said about you. Actually, that goes for girls too. Fanfiction.net pet peeves: When people on here see that I am a teenager and go, "keep trying, kid!" I understand that my writing leaves something to be desired, but that does nothing to encourage me. At least I write with correct grammar. That counts for something, right? When I try to read fics on here of certain stories and literally all of them are romance. The books I like are fantasy adventure novels. Surely you can do better than just romance between the two main characters. Have some creativity, people. When I have run out of fics that I actually want to read and there are a solid 1400 in that category. I either have no life or I am extremely judgmental about which books I read. Or both. I also get very upset when I get halfway through an incredibly good story and then discover that it isn't done and the last update was six years ago. It's terribly disappointing. | |||||||
