At the behest of Lord Voldemort, Severus Snape is forced to commit a deplorable act against one who should have been under his protection. Bound by Dark Magic, he and Hermione Granger must learn to trust one another and themselves as they work together to thwart the dark plots surrounding them.

Hermione is approached with a time-travel safeguard to right the wrongs of the wars. Sent back in time to the first year of the Marauders schooling, Hermione is given a De-Aging potion to begin Hogwarts over again only this time she must get herself sorted into Slytherin to befriend Snape and some other 'at-risk' students.
