Damon just bared his heart to Elena in her room after saving her from Elijah. His plan was to erase her memory from it…but what he didn't count on was the small hemp bracelet on her left wrist. Picks up from Damon leaving her room in a blur.

After a night of unknowingly shared dreaming Damon and Elena wake up to face the aftermath and where it will lead them. Takes place after Roses death and can be read as a compainion piece to "keep 'em coming" but can stand alone.

"I don't know," he whispers, jumping into it as if there's no point in lying anymore, and maybe there isn't. "But I can't hide from you anymore. Hell, I don't want to hide. You make me feel –" His eyes are full of wonder. "You make me feel human." D/E.

Blistering joy breaks out on his face for a moment, a moment she feels more keenly than anything else, and she feels full, full and right. And then she is flying, flying, flying like the butterflies she used to cry over. D/E, making every moment count.

Stefan was her boyfriend, the centre of her teenage world but Damon was the normal she'd craved since the world crashed down.

He has never been able to deny her anything, not even something he's not sure he's capable of giving her. Not even something as ridiculous and impossible as a child. But of course he'll try anyways. He'll always try for her. D/E, and unashamed fluff.

Elena realizes that she is in love with Damon after she almost lost him. raited M for later chapters. plese review! It helps.

Damon decides to have one last night drowning his sorrows alone before moving on. He soon has company and the night progresses in a direction he hadn't expected.
