Well... I'm not very good at talking about myself, so this is my best attempt at it :)

I'm an avid reader of fanfics and instantly fell in love with this site. I love seeing poeple who are so creative sharing their fics with the world. It's always fascinated me how much people are finally able to share with each other via the internet. On fanfiction.net, I find people so much more talented than I am at writing stories, and I like looking up to them as role models. Honestly, WHY ARE SOME OF YOU NOT PROFESSIONAL AUTHORS?! Though I still read fanfiction, I no longer have a lot of time for it. I spend most of my time writing original fiction, now. It's mostly detective stuff. However, I doubt I will ever be as good a writer as some of you on this website.

I don't review that often, because I'm not very good with words. I tend to ramble and go fangirl (EEEEEE!!!!! IT'S ENVY!!!) over several characters. I don't think I've posted a review on something I didn't like... I don't like telling people what I DIDN'T like about something. I try to stick to the positive, but I will try to give someone my opinions and maybe a recommendation in the future. I analyze books, movies, and television shows that I like. I go through them with a fine-tooth comb and look for symbolism, motifs, parallels, character development, satire, and whatever else I can find that's interesting. I tend to do the same thing with fanfics, or at least a mini version of that. I realize that most fanfic authors are not trying to create a new Watchmen or Great Gatsby, but small details matter a lot to me.

Romance baffles me. Well, not romance, but the pure focus on physical attraction. The whole "oh my god did I just think that he/she was hot for a second?! I'm in love" schtick. I'm asexual, so the sex I find in many fanfics, off and on this site, is just uninteresting and cliche to me. I find it hard to get invested in many romances, though I do find quite a few really good ones. I am open to slash and het pairings. However, I don't read PWP, underage, non- or dub-con, or anything like that. I don't like OC/Canon Character romances most of the time, or OCs in general (most of the time), for that matter. Again, romances are okay, but they need to be well-written to be interesting.

Recently, because of my new-found love of analyzing and critiquing, I have not watched a lot of new television shows or movies. I have mainly been analyzing Buffy the Vampire Slayer and writing extra credit essays about it for my literature class. I have also been reading as many Alan Moore graphic novels as I can get my dirty paws on. If anyone was wondering (which you probably weren't), Alan Moore is my favorite author.

FAVORITES
I watch/read a lot more than this, and a lot of stuff I like isn't on the list, but this is a condensed list of my current interests and some old favorites. I recommend most of the stuff on these lists, though some more highly than others. Listed in order from how much I would recommend them, with the best at the top of the category's list. These are only my opinions. There isn't anything on these lists that I don't think are, at the very least, decent. I don't expect everyone to like what I like, but if you recommend something, PM me and I'll try to check it out.

Books (I don't read very many novels anymore, and I've only listed novels for teens, though I don't read teen fiction anymore. I mainly read old classics like Invisible Man, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, etc.):

Skulduggery Pleasant (no one really knows what this is, but if you like Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Harry Potter, or mystery/comedy stories, you might like this)

Fullmetal Alchemist- Envy is my favorite by far, but I love Greed, Ling, and Hawkeye (and LinGreed, obviously)
Trigun- Vash the Stampede and... Legato Bluesummers (so evil he's cool)
Cowboy Bebop- Edward
Harry Potter- Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, Ron Weasley (I like characters that are jealous of others, especially if they try to overcome it, though I'm a minority on the whole "really loving Ron" thing)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- Spike (one of my favorite characters of all time), though I like Dawn (I understand why people hate her, but I don't), Tara, and Cordelia
Watchmen: Everyone (in the main 6). If I had to pick, though, it would be Rorschach and Doctor Manhattan (as a close second). Sadly, Laurie is probably my least favorite of the main 6.
Young Justice: Artemis and Kid Flash (as a close second)
DC Universe (animated 'verse because I'm not a DC comic reader, except for a few graphic novels *cough* Watchmen *cough*): Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Red Arrow/Speedy, Robin (Dick Grayson)
Marvel Universe: Nightcrawler, Deadpool (comics and Hulk Vs., though I hope his movie is good. Just hoping for Merc with a Mouth in his movie, not Not!Deadpool in the Wolverine: Origins movie)

I don't think I'll ever post anything on this site. I'll read and review, but but writing interests are elsewhere.
