Author has written 1 story for Hunger Games.

Alt account for SYOT purposes. If you like this SYOT and would like to see the other stuff I've written (including some Hunger Games fic), PM me and I'll link you to my main account. On the whole, though, I'd prefer to keep the two accounts separated, for various reasons. (Not least that I don't want to get banned)

If you need any help with the tribute form or anything else related to the SYOT, PM me and I'll see what I can do.

Updates happen when they happen. I'll try to aim for fairly frequent updates - once every week or two - but I make no promises.

TRIBUTE FORM

Name: [Please try to follow canonical naming conventions, especially the obvious ones - i.e., precious things for D1, agricultural names for D11, etc - unless your character's family would have a good reason to name them outside the norm]

Sex:

Age: [12-18]

District: [Preferred District, no back-ups needed. If your chosen slot is filled, I'll PM you to work out whether you want a different slot instead]

Looks: [As in-depth as you can. Make sure it fits their history and characterisation - so a Career will probably be fit, a D11 tribute is likely to be skinny, a tribute from the Seam will probably have olive skin and dark hair, etc. On that note, whitewashed D11 tributes will not be accepted without a very good reason - D11 tributes should be dark-skinned and dark-haired]

Personality: [Again, this should be fairly in-depth. It's all I have to go on, so give me something to work with. Please include their views on the Games and the Capitol.]

History:

Reaping: [Did they volunteer, or were they Reaped? How did they feel about it? If they volunteered, why? Please remember that volunteers from non-Career Districts are very rare]

Strengths: [About three or four. Make sure they're relevant (i.e. things which will directly help them in the Games) and realistic (they cannot be 'the best in Panem' at something, they cannot have magical or mystical powers, and if they're not Careers, they probably shouldn't be amazing with lots of different weapons)]

Weaknesses: [About three or four. Make sure they're relevant (i.e. things which will hurt their chances in the Games) and actually hindering]

Fears: [Their biggest fear or fears - anything which they're cripplingly terrified of]

Interview strategy:

Arena strategy: [Include their training strategy - what will they focus on? What are their priorities? Also, please give an idea of their Arena strategy even if you expect them to die in the bloodbath]

Alliances: [Will your character form them, and with whom?]

Should your character win?: [Give reasons] [EDIT: To clarify, when I say "give reasons", I mean "give in-universe reasons". Your character being a lovely person who wants to get back to their family isn't a reason they should win, because it doesn't actually make them more likely to survive. Your character loving their family so much that they'll do anything to get back to them is a reason, because it's what gives them an edge - in-universe - over the other tributes. tl;dr - think of this more as the reason you would or wouldn't bet on them if this was real life, rather than why you, as their creator, would like them to win. Also, remember that even if everybody says their character should win, only one character will.]

Optional questions:

Family: [Anyone they consider family, whether or not they're a blood relation. Please include a brief idea of each family member's personality, looks, and relationship with your tribute]

Friends: [Again, please include their personality, looks, and relationship with your tribute. Also, give a brief idea of whether your tribute has a lot of distant friends or a few very close friends (or anything in between)]

Relationship with District partner?: [Obviously, this depends on what the person submitting your District partner has to say, but if you want your tribute to have an existing relationship with their District partner, tell me and I'll try to work it out. NOTE: This does not only refer to romantic relationships, but also to friendships, animosity, shared experiences, etc, etc. Do they know them, basically.]

Token:

Weapon of choice:

Ideas for outfits: [Chariot outfits and interview outfits - if you don't put anything here, I'll come up with something, don't worry]

Mentor/Stylist: [Again, if you don't put anything here, I'll come up with something. If you have a strong image of any of your tribute's team, though, let me know and I'll fold them in. Remember that Haymitch will mentor at least one of the D12 tributes, and quite possibly both. Also, the following Victors have not yet won their Games: Cashmere (1), Gloss (1), Enobaria (2), Finnick (4), Annie (4), Johanna (7), or Cecelia (8) - so you can't use them]

Preferred death:

Anything else:

Dulce Et Decorum Est, Pro Panem Mori reviews
The 54th Annual Hunger Games is a twist on the old formula; a battlefield based on ancient stories of a long-ago war, where the tributes must fight, defend, and survive in waterlogged trenches and ankle-deep mud. Who will live? Who will die? Who will stand victorious? It's a long, long way to Victor's Village, but they ain't downhearted yet. (Submissions closed, but voting open)
