Welcome to my legendary account page, let's start with the basics shall we? Message to any unlucky soul who may stumble upon this: The following account page is very out there, you might want to do yourself a solid and turn around here. Don't say I didn't warn you...

Name: Hey there, name's Jonathan, but until I get to know you better you just go ahead and call me Chuck, Charles if you're fancy.

Age: Old enough to write a mildly entertaining profile.

Gender: Dude

Place of residence: San Antonio Texas, USA (Go spurs go!)

Here's a couple of things about me that just might spark your interest:

So, the Walking Dead, it's a pretty recognizable franchise at this point and for the longest time I considered myself a super fan of it, all you really need to do is read below to see where I'm getting at. Unfortunately, whether it was a result of more exposure through the game(s) and the show, or perhaps the simple fact that the writing for literally everything Walking Dead right now is atrocious, I honestly find myself tired of the franchise as a whole. I have next to no faith in the upcoming Telltale game given what they shovelled out to us last time, they still write novels apparently, I quit reading them after the third one so I wouldn't know, I gave up on the show years ago (about mid-season 5), and perhaps the most painful thing to come to terms with, Kirkman is driving his own comic into the ground recently with how bad its been ever since that needless time skip. Even when the franchise was booming I still couldn't write stories because I questioned my ability as a story writer (that hasn't changed much at all) but now with how everything is, my motivation for ever writing for the fandom (or in general, really) has hit rock bottom. That might change in the future, but I honestly doubt it.

Ahem, well, with that out of the way let me move on to a zombie series that didn't overstay it's welcome, George Romero's Dead series. The first trilogy is near perfect in every way, showing the gradual takeover of the zombies while focusing on different characters for every movie, it was fresh and intuitive, and its a pretty great example on how to do a trilogy right. I used to consider Dawn of the Dead as my favorite considering it was the one that introduced me to the series, but I've found that Day of the Dead has snuck up on me and barely beat out the former, for reasons that are a little difficult to explain. At any rate, the original trilogy is a set of movies I can recommend to anyone, while sadly the latter trilogy just sorta blends into the rest of the mediocre zombie flicks that came out at the time of their releases. Rest in peace Mr. Romero, you truly left a mark while you were walking among the living.

I'm quite fond of a majority of the Walking Dead games, the earlier works of S1 and S2 in particular considering what came after. If I had to rank em by seasons and what not then here are my picks, S1 (1), S2 (2), 400 Days (3), TFS (4), MMS (5), and, pft, ANF (6). I've spent way too much time on the WD wiki reading up on pointless trivia and plot points and what have you (bar ANF stuff) so hey, you ever want to talk to someone about these games, I'm more than willing to lend an ear.

Finally, here's a top ten list of some of my favorite characters from season one and two of the game, as well as 400 days. Reasons why to be added soon, for season 1 anyway, I've come to the realization that my profile's gonna get hella long if I list every reason for every character for every season being on whatever spot they're in but rest assured, if you ever feel the need to ask me why I like a character within the 400 Days and S1-S2 lists and why they're placed in their respective spots, then I'd be more than happy to explain why. (Nate's an exception though, he's just that great. ;D)

Season 1:

#1:My main man Lee: You like Lee, I like Lee, we all like Lee. Why? Well him being the playable character aside he was really a good man who committed some bad before the apocalypse and was able to redeem himself through Clementine. His story was a great one to go through and obviously his death left one of the biggest impacts for me in probably the entire Walking Dead world.

#2: The amazing little girl known as Clementine: Ok Clementine was Lee's rock, she was the one person that he proved that he would do anything for and so did us the players. Being able to shape, protect, and care about Clementine was one of the best aspects to season one and admittedly I don't like her as much in season 2 as I liked her in season 1 but that's an entirely different story, season one wise Clementine's a great character who was a big part of the emotional roller coaster that Telltale put us through.

#3: Everybody's favorite redneck Kenny: What can you say about Kenny? You either love him or you hate him and for me it's the former, on most occasions I sided with Kenny and thought that he was one of the closest people in my little ragtag group. It all depended on the choices you made with him regarding how he treated you but for me, Kenny was probably my best friend in this apocalypse, despite the mishaps that happened between us. So yeah team Kenny, although again that's another story for another time. (Looking at you season 2 Kenny)

#4: The awesome Persian dude known as Omid: Omid just made the game so much more cheerful when he was introduced. I thought that after Carley's death it was going to be bleak from then on out but then we got introduced to Christa and Omid. While Christa was a good survivor Omid was a good source of comic relief. He really brought positivism wherever he went and despite the fact that he was bedridden for the majority of his time in season 1 I still think that he left a positive impact on the group.

#5: The most epic hobo around known as Chuck (or Charles if you fancy): Chuck's the man, if I base my account name around the guy then you know that he did something right. He was a truly underrated character, allowing Clementine to survive with his advice that he gave to Lee and ultimately sacrificing himself for the two aforementioned people. Truly the old man deserved better. Plus giving out candy to people, you can't go wrong with that.

#6: The lovable nerd Doug: Doug was, in fact, the person I first chose in my playthrough, seeing as how him and I share some qualities I wanted to become bros with this guy and survive the apocalypse together (probably eventually outliving him since I was the main character but I digress). Having him die that soon, although to be fair it was the halfway point in the game, sucked and the way he went out just left me feeling nothing but sorrow for him. The guy went out like a hero, jeez Lilly. Great guy, and to this day I wonder how he would be like if he was still alive in the game, since it looked like he was just starting to carve his way into accepting the world how it is.

#7: The most loyal friend a guy could ask for Mark (even as a walker he still has your back): That little side comment pretty much speaks for itself, Mark was a great guy. When you first see him you're all like "woah who's this nerd, and how come I trust him to hold a gun near me?" but then as the episode goes on you learn that, well first off that this dude has apparently been living with you guys for three months, and secondly that Mark is actually a pretty cool, down to earth, kinda guy. That and the fact that he also hails a military desk job like Lilly makes him that much cooler as you hope that he can become the middleman in all of those arguments that occurred between Kenny and Lilly. Yeah, Mark was great, why you gotta create rifts in friendships, kill the cool people, and just plain be cruel at times Telltale? Can I have one single friend besides Kenny sheesh.

#8: The independent news reporter who couldn't put batteries in a radio Carley (We're never going to let that go are we guys.): Well, what can I say about Carley, honestly I found myself relating to Doug more than Carley during the short time I knew the two and picked Doug the first couple of playthroughs, especially considering how easily she could've gotten out of her predicament. Eventually, I picked her and post episode 1 I saw why the majority of people preferred her over Doug as she sadly had more story to bring to the plate with her knowing your secret, being a (cut short) romantic interest, and being a crack shot during numerous ordeals. So yeah I can see why she's on a lot of peoples favorites list, and don't get me wrong I like her too, she's not on this top ten list for nothing but I just think that it's unfair for Doug on how she received all of this attention whilst Doug essentially got squat in the grand scheme of things.

#9: The awesome blond ninja known as Molly: Molly made quite the impression in the short time she was in the game, becoming a quick favorite for a lot of people, myself included. With a nice loner persona yet a backstory that shows how she really is a caring person who has just been shaped by the horrors around her, Molly is both relatable and unrelatable, in the sense that she's a total badass with a ice pick, a standard I don't think we'll all hit if an apocalypse comes around. Curious to see what became of her, although if Telltale haven't even answered what happened to people like Eddie, Lilly, and Christa, I doubt they'll do the same for her.

And last and also least #10: A tie between Christa and Lilly because I find the both of them to be pretty similar.: Here we reach the bottom of our S1 list, and while I don't hate these two (they did make it onto the list after all) I don't have as big of a connection to them as others near the top of the list. That being said, let's start off with Lilly. Back in the days of Season 1 I used to always side with Kenny, probably the only instance I didn't was the Stranger's car situation, but at the same time I could still relate with Lilly.

The responsibilities of a leader was something I felt she was capable of if everything went her way, needless to say things obviously didn't go her way. I understood why she killed my boy Doug (was going to be Ben, I would've forgiven her more.) but at that moment I knew I couldn't bring her onto the RV. Overall, I could relate to her situation and appreciate her complex character, but she wasn't really someone I thought would be best for the group to stick around with. Christa, on the other hand, was someone we knew for a shorter period and the reason why I feel she shares some similarities is because of her level-headed views and, while this goes into S2, her complete personality shutdown once Omid is tragically taken out of the picture. The fact that she continued on after losing both him and their baby, taking care of Clementine for all of those months, shows serious drive and that's something I'll always respect.

400 Days:

#1: Without a doubt Nate, he's just such an interesting character: No explanation needed here eh paco? You either love him or hate him and I'm one of those people who loves his dynamic and also his off the wall characterization and qualities. Seriously though the guy's a loose cannon, and you don't even know which direction the cannon is pointing, he's that unreadable and I think that's probably one of the biggest reasons why I like the guy so much.

#2: Eddie

#3: (bad luck) Vince

#4: Justin

#5: Big Russ

#6: Danny

#7: Roman

#8: Wyatt

#9: Stephanie

#10: Shel

Season 2:

#1: Pete

#2: Kenny

#3: Clementine

#4: Luke

#5: Mike

#6: Carver

#7: Nick

#8: Walter

#9: Carlos

#10: Alvin

One more mildly important caveat: ready for it... drum roll please... if you also love the Walking Dead game then go ahead and head on over to my forum entitled The Official Walking Dead forum. Here's the link!: https://www.fanfiction.net/forum/The-Offical-Walking-Dead-Forum/180719/

[Quick note regarding said forum, it's basically dead, hate to say it but that's how it is, it had a good run. However, if anyone reading this is still interested in RPing for the Walking Dead, whatever medium that may be, shoot me a PM and I'll point you in the right direction.]

And here we reach the part of this profile where I recommend some stories to ya, granted I could just add them to my favorites list and call it a day but I feel like giving each of these a little synopsis to go along with them makes things all that much more personal, personal is good, for the most part. Anyways without further ado, let's get this list rolling!

All I Can Give: By Havoka: This one holds a special place for me as it was actually the first fanfiction I ever read, good times. It was back when Amid the Ruins was released and to everybody's dismay, despite supposedly showing up on the artwork for the episode, Eddie (as well as the rest of the 400 Days cast cough cough) didn't make an appearance at all. While this story doesn't fall within that time frame, it's nevertheless one of the most well written Eddie centric stories out there and if that wasn't enough for ya, Havoka writes a very intriguing Lilly to boot, effectively making them one of the oddest tag teams ever put to an original story. Yet despite this, the story just clicks, and I know that's in part due to Havoka's writing skills, making a pairing this odd work out fantastically the whole way through. A relatively short read but one that I most definitely recommend.

Black Hair and Blue Eyes: By Kristal-Dynamite: This story was another one of my firsts, as evident by the cringy guest comments I used to leave back on Dynamite's story before I went ahead and made myself an account. This story revolves around Nick, a character that seems to not have a large amount of stories centered around him, yet the ones that do revolve around the guy tend to either work or well, not work. This story is most definitely the former as it swoops Nick along on an adventure in which he has to fend for himself upon one day waking up and finding the entirety of the cabin group gone. However, this is not a journey that he has to brave alone as along the way he runs into Stephanie, a character that I would've personally never have thought would receive this level of attention, yet despite the short amount of material we got with her in canon, Dynamite managed to flesh her out and develop her into a character you become emotionally invested in the short time we get to know her in the story. A story that has just the right amount of action, development, and pacing, it's a diamond in the rough that I definitely recommend checking out.

A New Day Gone Bye: By TheBigBadWolf1: Oh yeah, here we go now, taking a dip into the real good stuff. Now, if you wanted a story that combined all three, that's right three, of the Walking Dead mediums and somehow didn't flop then this is most definitely your go to story. The story revolves around who'd you expect it to revolve around, Lee and Rick as they wake up in the same hospital and go out to face this new, mysterious, and hella dangerous world. What I really enjoy about this story was that over time the story grew into a real big look into the entire world of the Walking Dead, making sure that any and all mediums of it be used in the story, yes including that random group from the Social Game that I had no clue about until reading about them within the story. xD Another solid point about this story is that it's not just a mindless point A to point B story with cameos thrown in either, as the plot direction is solid and branches off into smaller stories before all being wrapped up with a bow before each finale comes to a conclusion, a format that really works for a story of this magnitude. This is a pretty long running story on this site and that's for a good reason, the quality keeps on going up every year and it really gets you pumped for what comes next in this epic tale. It's admittedly a large pill to swallow but swallow it you most certainly will story to take in all at once if you're just tuning in but really, the journey's worth it, definitely a recommended read.

Into The Fray: By Thunderslate: Of course this masterpiece had to make its way onto here eventually, if this fic was a PlayStation 2 game, it would be one of those Greatest Hits, if it was a movie series it would be the Godfather (Not a bad parallel actually come to think of it), bottom line is, it's good, real good. I can't really give it justice just by explaining it as you really need to read the story itself to get immersed into it, an easy feat to accomplish once you start reading let me tell ya, but I can provide a quick synopsis to see if it fits your bill. The three stories follow the 400 Days group as they escape from Howes after a certain group causes the herd to overcome the place (jerks), and the story branches off into a totally new story-line filled with OCs and canon characters alike. The great thing about the story is that the author chose to completely branch off from the canon events/main characters of Season 2 (for the most part, there are a few cameos thrown in here and there) in order to create their own story that holds up very well on it's own. It explores themes such as guilt, loyalty, adventure, sorrow, it's a real roller coaster that gets you hooked early and doesn't let go and I cannot recommend it enough, you need to do yourself a favor and give this baby(ies?) a read!

72 Hours/72 Hours Uprising/Other 72 Hours material: By Anthony Marston: Aight, finally something that's not Walking Dead related makes it onto the list, although these set of stories definitely share a lot of themes with said franchise. These series of stories are the definition of an oldie but goodie, the first chapter to this series having first debuted in 2003, it's pretty surreal to still be able to read ones work 15 years later but read it you most definitely should. What the author was able to accomplish with his set of stories was incredible, as he was able to not only craft one story that's perfect in nearly every way, but used said story and built upon it heavily. It's crazy how much of a universe the author was able to develop through only four stories, with two of them being one-shots no less, but the amount of straight up lore to this series, more of it being unsaid than said but still tugging at your curiosity, is nothing sort of amazing. Hm, looks like I got a bit ahead of myself here, so let me brings right back to the beginning. In a nutshell, 72 hours is a series of stories set within the universe of Battle Royale, with two twists to it. One of said twists is the fact that the story is set in the US rather than in Japan and the other being that its cast is entirely made up of OCs. Oh sure, I know one typically clicks away upon hearing that, I wasn't too crazy about it when I was first directed to the story myself, but it's very safe to say that these set of characters start to grow on you and then some. You easily find yourself rooting for the ones you grow to love and eagerly await for those you grew to hate meet their demise. However, my favorite types of characters within the series are the ones that don't entirely fit into either side of the spectrum and remain on a morally neutral ground throughout the events of the stories. Despite all this, Marston was able to accomplish only what the official novel/manga did before him, giving compelling stories for all of the competitors involved, however short their time in said stories may be. I could easily go on and on, dive deeper into themes and probably indirectly spoil a ton of plot points along the way but I'll stop myself here and simply implore you to give these four stories a read whenever you get the chance, I'm certain you won't regret it.

(More to come for sure :D)

Now onto the other stuff that doesn't revolve around zombies:

Favorite Music: Honestly, whatever has a good sound or a good message, with a song that has both being a bonus. I listen to just about anything although genres I would consider myself to enjoy a bit more are video game OSTs, classic rock, a touch of metal, and practically everything 90's lmao, what a mishmash those years were.

Alright, with music out of the way, on to some other favorite things of mine:

Favorite color: Red, blood red... (told you it'd get weird)

Favorite TV shows: Lost, Firefly (gone too soon amigo), Archer, Tales from the Crypt (Good ol 90's cheese.), the Twilight Zone, Batman the animated series(so badass!), the Total Drama series, and basically every show from the good old days of Cartoon Network like, Ed Edd and Eddy, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, you know, shows of that caliber.

Favorite video games: Man, way too hard to narrow this list down, basically it'd amount to pretty much every game I played on my PS2, ditto with the Xbox 360, and heck, the same case with all of the PC stuff I bought. I'm very lenient when it comes to what sort of video games I enjoy, although nobody likes those crappy movie tie in games, nobody.

Favorite movies: Again not bothering to name them all so I'll categorize them.

Favorite comedy: Rat Race: What happens when you get a bunch of comedian actors (minus Jim Carrey) on a race for two million dollars? Laughs my friend's, lots and lots of laughs.

Favorite Action movie: Terminator 2: Oh yeah guns, explosions and awesome killer cyborgs, what more could you ask for?

Favorite Horror movie: Day of the Dead, without a doubt. However, if I had to pick another one I'd say Battle Royale (with cheese) because it's technically considered a horror movie and man it's brilliant, give it a watch sometime, it just happens to be on YouTube and Netflix for your convenience. I also enjoyed the Manga adaptation for it, pretty much better than the movie itself as every character from the fodder to the main characters all had their own little time to shine. It also just happens to be free and on the internet, go figure. :P

Favorite Family movie: I'd pick Back To The Future, very memorable, has awesome quotes, and teaches some really important life lessons. (Like time travel is complicating!)

[Mildly important footnote, but as was the case with music, there are most likely 1000s of movies that I enjoy so really, making favorites lists for this stuff is kinda pointless but eh what the heck, keeping this around anyways.]

You ever somehow stumble upon my funeral in the future, here's what you'd be hearing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgn1eHG_lr8

I'm an alright guy once you get to know me so go ahead, make my day, and send me a PM if you're up for it.

Well I guess that's all for now folks, until next time this is Chuck, signing off.

Conglaturations You've made it to the end of my profile, here's your reward! (It's not a rickroll I swear!)
