"Why're you crying?" Draco whispered, sitting down beside Hermione in a deserted Great Hall. Looking up at him with puffy eyes, she admitted what happened earlier at the Gryffindor Tower. Without a moment's hesitation, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and said: "Come on, you're spending the night in the Slytherin dungeon. With me."

"Your mother must be one hell of a woman... I mean... to be married to a Malfoy," Harry figured as he looked at the boy from the future in front of him once again; the shape of his face, his complexion, the tousled brown wavy hair. Oh Merlin! "Hermione?" When Harry saw that mischievous smile on Xander's face, he fainted.

Draco's mouth popped open. He'd seen hair like that before in his other life, all curling golden-brown madness, rippling and crackling with an intensity that matched the gold fire in its owner's eyes. Her eyes. Her…Mione. Draco stumbled forward on disbelieving feet. "Granger?"
