Endeavour Morse - or rather preferably, just Morse - has always been the absolute gentleman. Kind, honest, polite and genuine, Joan Thursday can't help but be enamoured by him. But, apparently, his head is unlikely to turn in her direction. Well. That's what she thinks, anyway.

At the end of season 4, Endeavour & Miss Thursday are struggling with what they mean to each other. Miss Thursday is spiraling out of control, sparked by a near miss with death, flight from Oxford, & questionable life choices. Morse is equally struggling, feeling around in the dark, trying to find his way to love & happiness. This is my version of season 5. Season 4 spoiler alert.

Napping at DI Thursday's house, is where it all begins. Mr and Mrs Thursday talk while young Morse lies blissfully unaware in the other room. Enter the striking Joan Thursday, which won't be the last time. The detective constable has to deal with several run-ins with Joan, and vice versa. Oh the possibilities.

A little Joan/Morse to help tide us over until series 3. No spoilers really, but does contain some light references to a few of their scenes on the show. (A/U but that could potentially change, depending on how the series 2 cliffhangers get resolved.)
