Eddard Stark offered her a deal. Safe return to the Seven Kingdoms but in exchange she would need to marry his son, to keep her under watch instead of killing her like Robert wanted. She accepted because she believed she could work on her plans from within. She could turn the Young Wolf in her ally. But she wasn't expecting Robb Stark not to be like the men she knew.

Though technically a very slow burning Dany/Arya femslash fic, not knowing the ending is driving me nuts. So this is my interpretation of the events following A Dance with Dragons. Imagined scenario assuming R L J. AU after the Red Wedding. A what-if based on Daenerys coming to Westeros and winning the Iron Throne, believing Jon to be the rightful heir. This started with an idea I had of Robb and maybe Catelyn being alive getting free from Freys only to find Targaryens, and Jon specifically on the throne. Of course they're a bit confused. The Targaryen's have a history of madness, and no one knows it better than Aelor, second son of the Mad King. Amidst his father's erratic and destructive behavior and his elder brother's decision to run off with a girl who wasn't his wife, it will take every ounce of his Targaryen charm and skill at arms to save the greatest dynasty in Westeros...and that still might not be enough.

A romance, set after the war has been won. Seven years have passed and, along with everyone else, Arya, Daenerys and Sansa must build a new future. Marriage will be part of that, whether they want it or not. This is a story about how they each find love and sisterhood after the war. Arya is first as 'The Reluctant Bride', but their stories are intertwined.
