Things About me

I made this account to post stories later on since I can not really write that well. I am hoping that as I start writing and posting that you, the general populace of citizens on Fanfiction can give me advice on how to make my stories and/or writing better

The majority of what I read tends to be self inserts. I will read other stories but self inserts make the majority. I also like time travel stories.

Age: 20

Hobby's/ Things I like: Amateur blacksmith, reading Fanfiction, Game of Thrones/ A song of Ice and Fire, H.P Lovecraft

Misc: I have lived in five different states in the U.S, I enjoy movie and video game soundtracks, I also like listening to Japanese music even though I don't know all of what they are saying (mainly anime openings. I look up lyric meanings and sometimes find a good English cover)

I have many ideas for my own Fanfiction, Two stories which I am currently working on are for Naruto and the Nasuverse. Unfortunately my schedule as it is with college and work makes it nearly impossible to work on them so I only write a few sentences every few days. so don't expect a story from me anytime soon. A downside is that I enjoy reading Fanfiction and that takes up time I could use for writing. But sadly there are so many amazing stories out there and for that I am in a conundrum.

On why I bash a bit on One Piece

Now don't get me wrong it is a decent show and a great starter to get someone into anime (if they are under 14 years of age). If ind the show to be a bit too repetitive. They set sail. they reach an island. everything is fine until they find something wrong on the island (which is every island). They meet bad guy or minions and they monologue their evil plans of how taking over that island will make them SUPER powerful. after a few scuffles bad guys leave thinking they either won or something miraculously calls them away to where the straw hats can recover. straw hats then come up with SUPER plan to save day. Then they meet random character that wants to help liberate their island and possibly join crew (helps keep crew from being boring) adding more to plans and has some secret layout of island or fortress they assault. They beat bad guys and become hero's again. Rinse repeat.

There might be a step or two missing in that but you should get the idea.

On Grammar

Many times I see these mixed up. Normally it does not bother me when I see a grammar mistake since we all make them, but if it happens multiple times on the same thing/ story/ author then it begins to annoy me.

lose and loose: I see many authors use loose when they mean lose. Just remember loose is when something is loose enough to fall off.

Taught and Thought: I have seen this a few times when someone meant that their character is to be "taught" not "Thought" For example in what I have seen in some Fanfiction. "The master thought him some things." As you see, this is blatantly incorrect for it shall be "taught" not "thought"

Knew and new: Should be obvious on what which is used for which and is one of the more rare misuse of these two words

know and no: same as previous and probably even more rare yet still shows up every once in a while

There, Their: First is place second is possession

Too, to, two: It is Too much, That shirt is too little; They are going to the market; There are two of them

Overall things I would like to see more on Fanfiction

More male self inserts (that are good)

More self inserts that take place in the Nasuverse, Code Geass, and Fairy Tail (with the above mentioned as well)
