![]() Author has written 12 stories for Rurouni Kenshin, Anime X-overs, Fruits Basket, Tokyo Mew Mew, Harry Potter, Inuyasha, Greek Mythology, and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!. I'm updating my profile because reading my old one totally made me cringe in my chair. Most of the stories I have up are actually het, but trust me when I say that I'm a BL fangirl. Because of that, those het stories most likely won't be updated at all, since they've been gathering dust in my metaphorical fic closet. Of course, unless they have a huge DISCONTINUED in the summary, I'm not going to write them off as a total loss as some of those pairings actually still appeal to me, but I've mostly lost interest in writing them. All of them are particularly old though, so some of them might have kill-your-eyes-and-your-brain layouts. Sorry about that. Advice, I'd just skip over them. I'm contemplating taking them down, but so far, they haven't bugged me enough to so yes. As fair warning, I suck at updating on regularly, so if you like a fic of mine, just stick it on your alert list, and an update will come when it comes. Unfortunately, I have short attention span or complete writer's block a lot, so don't expect too much. Simply to type a little more, I'll inform you of some of my favorite slash couplings. The formatting is top/bottom. I have clear preferences in that topic, so if you have any recommendations of a good fic of that pairing, pm me! I don't mind! Actually, I would really appreciate it because sometimes weeding out the good fics on ff.net is a really daunting and rather traumatizing task simply because of the sheer amount and how the majority of them are badly written. Book pairings: Harry/Draco because Harry needs to love and pamper someone and Draco needs to be loved and pampered. Remus/Severus because Severus needs someone to control him and despite Remus always trying to be wimpy (or the people that love to write him as wimpy), he's totally the one for it. Manga/Anime pairings: Naruto/Sasuke because though Sasuke always tries to act as the seme, he's obviously an needy uke that needs Naruto. Neji/Shikamaru because Neji is way too uptight and Shikamaru can totally help him relax, at least a little. Plus, Neji's intellect could probably keep up the best with Shikamaru's. I don't think that Shikamaru would be able to have a relationship with someone that can't really provide him with intelligent conversation. I also enjoy Itachi/Shikamaru even though the fandom for this pairing is very small and never updates. ;D It's really genius!slash and I don't know. I just think they would make a really good pairing. Iruka/Kakashi because...I just do. I don't read them much though because people like writing Iruka as the wimpy bottom and Kakashi as the cool top. This is actually a pairing that I really don't mind them switching in, but the majority of fandom loves writing Iruka in such a way that it makes me want to cry for his character and Kakashi in a way that makes me really irritated. Sure, he's cool and all, but he's actually not that mentally stable enough to be the seme, y'know? Yamamoto/Gokudera is practically canon and is almost the default OTP for a whole lot of the yaoi fandom of Katekyo Hitman Reborn. I love them because Yamamoto is definitely someone that can handle Gokudera's storm without completely smothering it or being overtaken by it. The dynamics between them are rather awesome. However, even more than 8059, I enjoy 1859, that is, Hibari/Gokudera. It's a really volatile pairing, but I think that it would really work. People seem to favor D18 for Hibari, but I really can't see Hibari submitting to anyone, and if he did, be really unhappy with it to the point of it being almost non-con. With Gokudera though, Hibari would not have somebody that would completely submit to him in fear which would totally bore him and make him rather hate the other, but also someone that would give as good as he got which I think despite anything that Hibari says, he would really appreciate. Additionally, I don't think that Hibari would be able to stand an idiot or someone that's less intelligent than him, and Gokudera is really smart, though the risk-taking behavior of his really needs to be curbed a bit. Once he gets a hold of that though, Gokudera could really kick ass. Ikki/Kazu is OTP. If Ikki was to suddenly turn gay, Kazu would be the one that he would fall for. Agito likes him, but he's rather unstable and I don't think it would work out because Agito doesn't like him in that way. Besides, Agito and Yayoi are fighting some major UST. Ikki just gets annoyed with Akito. Kazu would follow Ikki no matter what Ikki would do, and I think because of how their relationship started out and how it is now, really adds some depth to it. Kazu believes in Ikki like Ikki believes in Kazu, and that, I think, is what makes them a really strong pairing. Almost canon. But it's most likely all in my fangirl-mind. But I really appreciate Oh!Great for their great friendship. Zoro/Sanji is a love/hate relationship. They are constantly fighting, but when they fight together, they are practically unbeatable. How they can balance their strengths together is a real appeal to me. Sanji is a devout women-worshipper, but because of that, I don't think any relationship with a woman would work out simply because he doesn't really see them as women, but as something a little more than human, almost. Zoro, on the otherhand, has no patience for women. He'd only frustrate them and piss them off with his rather blunt and straight-forward thinking, and they in turn, would only annoy and piss him off because they're so weak (physically) and whiny. Kyouya/Kaoru is so close to being canon! Seriously! They are one of the more clearheaded ones in the chaotic atmosphere that is Ouran Host Club, and they are both rather sneaky. Kyouya would be able to control Kaoru's zaniness a little (though it's probably not too bad if Hikaru isn't there to be his partner in crime) and Kaoru would be able to spice up Kyouya's life a little. Puppyshipping, a.k.a. Jounouchi/Kaiba which is actually really rare! It's usually Kaiba/Jounouchi and they make Kaiba a cold bastard and someone turn Jou into a pathetic, wimpy version of himself. Tell me, how the heck does that make a good couple? Kaiba is kind of a cold bastard, but I think he does that to protect himself. He loves Mokuba, a lot, and I think that is one of the only ways he lets himself show his humanity, but because he shows this, Mokuba is always getting threatened and/or kidnapped. No thanks to his adopted father's child abuse of him, I don't think that Kaiba really knows how to show his soft side. And Jou is the perfect person to help him! I mean, despite Jou's own father being an alcoholic bastard, he still manages to be a strong person and not be broken down. If that isn't a show of his strength in character, I don't know what is. Which is one of the reasons why I don't understand why everybody seems to think that Jou is the wimpy bottom. Seriously. Kaiba needs someone who can let him stop taking control, and Jou is the best candidate for that. He wouldn't take advantage of him, and would be strong enough, and smart enough to not take any bullshit from Kaiba when Kaiba would lash out because he doesn't know what to do otherwise (except with Mokuba, anyways). Thiefshipping, a.k.a. (Yami)Bakura/Malik(not his "yami" which is Marik, okay?) is surprisingly pretty popular, though not a lot of really well written ones are out there. Malik is the nicer version of Marik, but he's still mischievous. His perfect partner in crime would be Bakura, and though he's mischievous, he wouldn't allow Bakura to take it too far which Bakura would do. Because of his time with Marik though, he'd be able to stand up Bakura if Bakura tried to be an asshole (more so than he usually is, anyways). I read lots of RPS (mainly j2 though) and TV series fandoms, but I'm lazy, and leave you with what I have so far. Perhaps if I ever get bored or annoyed with fandom for not understanding the appeal of my pairings, I'll comeback and type some more of my pairings and my reasonings why they are perfect and logical. If you've read through all of these, cheers to you because that takes patience. Thanks for visiting my profile, and I hope you enjoy my more recent stories (because reading back on my older stories is a rather traumatizing, if not kind of entertaining, experience). |
