Hello all,

I am a college science major (so if strange topics show up in my stories, that might be why), but I also love a well written story.

Tolkien's works have struck me as the exemplar of well written stories ever since I first read the Lord of the Rings. And since I've read my fair share of good fanfics over the past several years, I thought I'd try my hand of writing my own.

I expect my stories will be mostly book verse. The movies are great, but there's so much depth in the books that they are, to my mind, incomparable. Aragorn is my favorite character, has been since I was reading the end of the Fellowship (sorry Gandalf, it used to be you, but you died), so you should see a fair bit of him in my stories. Other characters also intrigue me, like Halbarad (he's quite interesting a character for one who was barely mentioned) and Gilraen (why do so many fanfic authors simply imagine her away?).
