![]() Author has written 1 story for Assassin's Creed. Hello there and welcome :) Not much to say about myself other than just being an easy going, silly tomboy, video gaming, out doors lovin' wannabe novelist lol. So far I've only written two fanfics, I'm pretty new to it. Oh you can also find me on Deviant Art and Tumblr! (Feel free to follow me there for updates on Transcendence and some random silly stuff .) I'm also on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MsWickedEclipse (old account) https://twitter.com/WickedEclipse Dragon Age 2: Taken (Finished) Two years ago I wrote my first Fanfic ever. In case you're interest, here is a link to my old account (I had trouble with the loggin info so I had to make a new one =/ and because it is against the Tos on here I cannot post it again. Working on getting the story moved to this account though.) Plot - What if Danarius used his blood magic to force Hawk to hand over Fenris? This is my take on Fenris's last quest from the game. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7801130/1/Taken 4/27/2014 - Devil May Cry fanfic idea. Been debating on writing a fanfic based sometime after Devil May Cry 4. I've been a fan of the games since 2001, read the comics, graphic novels, manga, etc. lol love Dante and the rest of the characters. The story I have in mind is something I've tried to rp with others for years yet never got to finish it since real life got in the way. The idea just keeps bugging me to write it, just like how Transcendence was for me. I may go ahead and write out a couple of chapters and post them just to see how people react to it. If they want more, than I'll be happy to do it! But to my readers for my AC3 fanfic, don't worry! I won't let this DMC story keep me from finishing Transcendence! I promise :D Assassin's Creed 3: Transcendence Currently writing, and it's going to be a long one... Cover Art By: Info: Back in January 2013, I started writing my second fanfic. It's in the Assassin's Creed fandom. I was going through a depressing/frustrating move and I also went months without the internet and TV. Yeah...I was pretty bored. Also during this time I was sucked into the Assassin's Creed 3 story so I thought I'd give it a go and try writing a fanfic about it. But here's the thing...I really, really always wanted to try my hand at writing a time travel story... (Waits for all the boos and tomahawks to be thrown) I know, I know. OC's are disliked in the AC fandom and time travel is also hated. Not to mention it has been done to death from what I hear. Still, for years I've wanted to try writing a time travel story. Because it can be extremely difficult to make it work, and as a practicing writer I wanted to give myself that challenge. With the AC universe the time travel plot could work. Especially with the First Civilization technology. For example, those of you that played the Tyranny of King Washington DLC, look how Connor ended up there. Don't worry I wont give spoilers, but those who played it know what I'm talking about. It seems like almost anything can happen in that world. Plus I really enjoyed AC3 and I liked all the characters, even the NPCs on the homestead. I wanted to write about all of them, so I did. I have my fanfic all planned out, with side plots and new characters I threw in there as well. There's action, suspense, drama, etc, all that good stuff and everything in it has a meaning to it. There's a reason for everything that happens, even the small things. Writing this fanfic has both helped cheer me up and also frustrated the hell out of me. There have been months where I just couldn't write anything because I got so stuck just trying to get the plot to work. I want zero plot holes and have everything to make sense. I'm still actually in the middle of writing it and I feel stuck even though I shouldn't. Perhaps its because I am my own worst critic and I feel that maybe no one will like it, that I'll even get bashed for writing it. (which seems to happen a lot in AC fanfics) Yet I keep seeing so many requests for more stories like this so...I keep thinking maybe I should give it a try and post it. I know it's not exactly an original idea...but maybe someone might like it. *shrugs* So I've come to the decision that I'll just post what chapters I have written and see how people react to it. If I get requests to finish it, then I will. Honestly, I will be happy even if one person enjoys it. This was just for fun and practice anyway, taking a break from my original stories that I'm in the process of writing (which I pray one day will be published). Though even when I tried to move on from the this fanfic, the story and characters just kept bugging and bugging me to keep writing it. They just wouldn't leave me alone. Also with how Ubisoft has seemed to have dropped Connor and have shown no interest in finishing his story, I thought I'd give it a go with my own twist. I don't see how anyone could bash his character either, I never found him boring. Though it took me awhile to warm up to him at first, but now he's become my favorite assassin. (sorry Altair!) Just with how he's gone through so much. From a small child, too adulthood. Always helping others and never giving up, etc. Like damn, he's got the darkest back story out of all the other assassins yet he never allowed all the horrible events that happened to him harden his heart. How could anyone hate that? By the way, in case some of you are wondering about my OC. No I didn't write myself into the story, no she's not a Mary Sue (least I hope not...) I put a lot of thought into her character. Actually, her personality I have used for many years in roleplays. I thought she would be the most fun to drop in the colonial era and indeed she has been a blast to write (even though I had to change everything else about her to fit the story) As to quote a friend I've rped with and who is very familiar with her rather odd personality, "Jaden...really? You dropped her in the 1700s? How has no one burned her at the stake yet?!" Also I am staying true as possible to the original characters. Such as Connor, I wrote him as how I thought the original writers would have him act during certain situations. And as for romance goes...well, hmm...guess you'll just have to wait and see XD ...Updates on Transcendence... A Mighty Big Thank You To All My Readers!!! I just want to thank all those who Favorited and Followed me. I truly appreciate your support and that you are giving this story a chance. I do read every comment and I appreciate every single one of them! I've even wrote thank yous in the review section in hopes that you will see them. Seriously I am beyond thrilled and shocked that I have reached 50 follows, I really can't believe it. Because on Deviant Art my fanfic has no attention whatsoever and I've joined sooo many groups to submit my fanfic to and still no one seems interested. Yet on here, you guys keep asking for more and seeing that just keeps cheering me up. And yes, lol I will keep writing as long as you want more! So again, thanks so much! ...Transcendence Soundtrack... I've recently been asked to make a song list for my fanfic and uh, wow...Well I have a long list that I listen to and it all depends on what scene I'm writing. Also I may just wait to post the list because of spoilers, I'd have to explain what the songs mean to me and how I feel they fit the characters and story, so will be awhile. Sorry! Don't want to ruin the story for ya ;D Info on my OC Jaden Hawthorne: I've been asked as to why I wrote her to be a nurse and not an assassin. Well for starters, I've written assassin characters before. Many years ago in fact and yes it was fun to do that at first, but now I'm just tired of creating characters that are already instant bad asses. For once I wanted to start from scratch and write about someone who clearly has never experienced such violence or hard physical training like that. I wanted this character to be different and at first she may seem to be boringly average, but trust me...her past will become much more interesting in the coming chapters as more and more information gets revealed. As for why I made her a nurse, well again it's something new and completely different for me to experience. I thought it would be interesting to write about how frustrating it would be for a young woman thrown in a time period where women had zero rights and weren't allowed to practice medicine, but also be caught in certain situations where she would have no clue how to properly treat anothers injury or sickness since they had so few tools and medicine back then. Plus with the Revolutionary and Templar war, for someone so use to being able to saving lives, well...one can imagine how someone could feel at such dire moments. Also Jaden may sound silly and even immature at the moment. With the way she speaks for example, saying silly things like "Oh hells no!" as well as some modern city talk lol. Though Jaden only does this around Connor and Achilles because they know that she is from the future and by doing this, she feels more at ease. Its her way of letting her hair down around them, but only them. If others are near she speaks properly or at least tries to do so. Sometimes it just slips, depending on her emotions or if she just simply forgets. This is just how I see it, figuring it would be difficult for her (or hell anyone for that matter) to remember that she needs to speak just like the people did in the 1700s. And as for her playful behavior, this is how I meant for her to be right now. Yes I have 15 chapters up, but it's only been eight and a half months since she's been in Connor's time and the story is still in the early stages (this is going to be a long one lol). Right now she is new to this life and she uses humor to deal with everything. It helps her get by, keeps her sane. But as the main events and some of my own side plots take place, Jaden's behavior will change and she will grow with development. I have it all planned out and I just wanted to explain this because I can't help but feel some people just see her as another Mary Sue and don't even give her or the story a chance. I know my writing isn't the best and I do miss some errors even though I am always going over to try and spot them. Plus I am doing my best to stay true to the cannon characters and let me tell you...Trying to play Connor the way his original writers wrote him in the game and as a young Kanien’keha;ka man can be rather challenging lol. Challenging yet interesting and fun of course ;D Update: 10/16/2014 Chapter 18 is now in the works! May take me sometime to complete it, but I don't want to rush it. I'd like for it to be good and worth the wait, you guys deserve it! |
