With this story, I'm challenging myself to write the whole "realization and first kiss" thing without the use of role-playing, costumes, or major trauma. It may end up being really, really boring and require the intervention of an evil twin …

Now Emma has to figure out if it was all just a game by an Evil Queen, while Regina has to decide what kind of life she wants to rebuild, and what kind of person she wants to be. Regina decides to make amends after upsetting the Savior. What she doesn't realise is that in doing so, she finds the key to Emma's heart – food. Takes place after they return from Neverland.

Single-girl anxieties cause Emma Swan to ask her ask college professor Regina Mills to be her date for the weekend. Her plan, attempting to fool everyone in Storybrooke that have been dating for a while, proves to be her undoing. This is a different take on how Emma and Regina met and came to Storybrooke.
