![]() Author has written 10 stories for Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Harry Potter. Hello to you all! So, I finally decided to pull my head out of the sand and actually get some stories out there. Been a longtime off and on reader on this site and others, but I haven't published anything 'til now. I've got a lot of ideas- now it's simply a matter of grabbing the will to get them down on paper. Hope it works. Currently planning seven novel length fics and starting to write an eighth and ninth- bits of Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Ranma, and Harry Potter: all series with plenty of potential. Please bear in mind, that despite the fairly rapid start to these, I'm actually primarily working on my own original novel and gearing back up for college work, so updates may be somewhat sporadic. On that note, I want to say something quickly: I work on multiple stories at a time. This makes sense to me, as if I am having trouble working on one, I can switch to another and keep the creative juices flowing. So, despite what it may appear like, not one of my stories is being abandoned. I am working on all of them. They might not update as fast as if I were to only work on a single one, I'll admit that to be true, but this is the way I work best, so I ask you to bear with it, please. New chapters will come, you have my word on that. Also- as to my list of favorite stories, unless they're simply incredible, I'm only adding the novel-length ones to the list. There are literally hundreds of short stories, oneshots, crackfics, and tidbits that I love reading whenever I come across them, but whenever I visit an author's profile and see a Favorites list of 860, I get a little discouraged. So enjoy! They're all either fairly well-written or interesting ideas, and they'll hopefully lead to reading other works by the same author. List of current (novel-length) works in progress: You're all welcome to use the ideas, I'd love to see someone else's interpretation. Just send me a link so I can read it! :) The Green Eyed Spectre: Basically, Harry has been living for a while. a long while. Now that Earth has joined the galactic community, the Alliance wants a Spectre. Harry's a consultant at times, and he gets the offer. It will focus on Harry as Shepard. Relationships with the squad will be more familial than romantic, I'm actually basing that slightly on (oddly enough) Whitebeard from One Piece and his interaction with his crew. Of Dogs and Men: A basic Dragon Age novelization, expanding the party to include a number of other characters. It will progress past the events of Origins, Awakening, and DA2, with a couple of nice massive plot twists to drive it forward later on. Harry Potter and the Castle's Key and subsequent stories: The basic premise is Harry is 2 years older, so he goes through Hogwarts with Fred, George, and Lee at his side. Planned all the way through book 7, with a pretty crazy departure from canon later on. This one I am really excited about. There and Back Again: At then end of Witch Hunt, the player who romanced Morrigan has the option of joining her on her journey. Well, what if the Eluvian led not to another world, but to another time. Using the Warden's taint, he (probably Cousland, who I have a distinct fondness for) and Morrigan travel back in time to the moment the taint first entered his body. Look out darkspawn, daddy's back! Unnamed Ranma 1/2 / One Piece Crossover: After being de-aged with the magic mushrooms, Ranma leaves this world on the advice of Happosai, and winds up in the world of One Piece, eventually growing up as the older brother to Ace and Luffy. His adventures will tie into, but not overwrite Luffy's and Ace's. And c'mon, Jusenkyo-cursed individual on a planet that's practically all water? Lots of room for fun, there. Unnamed Ranma 1/2 / Bleach Crossover with elements of Inuyasha: Replace Karakura town with Nerima, Japan. There's enough magical and spiritual insanity that it doesn't seem too much of a stretch. Ranma replaces Ichigo, various rivals and/or fiancées replace companions. Yoruichi is still a cat, with all that entails in the Ranmaverse. Additional tie-in idea: Ranma's zanpakuto is based on a very old ancestor of his, a white-haired, red-robed half dog demon, and the sword's attacks correspond. I was trying to think up a fitting zanpakuto and I remembered that Inuyasha's character was largely based on Ranma, and the two share voice actors. Unnamed Harry Potter/Skyrim Crossover: Harry is a known Parselmouth, but what if that was merely the benefit of a larger and far older ability? Cut to fourth year: Harry has seen the dragons to be used in the first task, and along with Hermione, is frantically reading everything the library has on the beasts. In doing so, he comes across a very old and tattered book titled Dovahkiin: The Dragonborn. Fus Ro Dah, anyone? Unnamed How to Train Your Dragon / Tangled Crossover: Based on the movie versions, clearly. Hiccup leaves Berk early after either being rejected or thinking he will be rejected, and eventually manages to find himself and Toothless lost in a storm. Diving down, they take shelter in an old tower, hidden away in the middle of a forest. I thought of this one solely because the animation styles are so similar. And because vikings are all about fiercely braided hair and beards. Unnamed Mass Effect/Farscape Crossover: No one really knows exactly how the relays work, aside from the Reapers. When Commander John Shepard destroys the Bahak relay, the energies it contains erupt in a wormhole, devouring him in the shuttle extracting him (not the Normandy and crew). Shepard is pulled into the Farscape universe, right in time to crash into Tauvo Crais' prowler. Cue Farscape storyline with John Shepard, all the while he is trying to get back home because the Reapers are literally at the doorstep. As per that universe, probably a John Shepard/Aeryn Sun ship. Unnamed Battletech/Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Crossover: Pretty much re-enacting the Gurren Lagann storyline in the Battletech Universe. Amaris won the Reunification War and eventually dominated the Inner Sphere, setting his generals up to rule over the various houses. One day, a young miner by the name of Simon finds an old Star League cache while digging, and in it, a lone functioning Commando. Now, together with his big brother Kamina and their friends and allies, Team Gurren will rise up against the oppression! They'll go beyond the impossible and kick reason to the curb in order to free themselves from Amaris' rule! Unnamed Ranma 1/2 / Fate/Stay Night Crossover: Many of Nerima's residents are blissfully unaware of the Grail Wars, but there are a few exceptions. As the 5th Grail War approaches, Gosunkugi begins a ritual to summon a Servant and hopefully become one of the seven Masters to participate. Little does he know that moments before, the very object of his desire, Akane, managed to send Ranma on a trip into low Earth orbit. Nerima being Nerima, everyone's favorite pigtailed-martial artist just happens to come down right through Gosunkugi's roof, cutting himself in the process and spilling his blood all over the ritual circle- right at the ritual's finale. Congratulations, Ranma. You have finally proven Kuno true and become a foul sorcerer. Well, not exactly, but you are headed straight on a trip to Fuyuki City in the hopes of getting that wish. After all, Ranma Saotome doesn't lose! Unnamed Pacific Rim/Castle Crossover: What if the Becket to sign up for the Jaeger Program had an extra 't' on the end of her name? When the breach is discovered, the Kaiju begin rampaging, and the PPDC begin recruiting pilot pairs, Castle suggests he and Beckett try out. After all, 'pilot giant mechs to fight real giant monsters?" And the best quality to have is compatibility on multiple levels? Turns out the joke's on them, as they prove to be one of the most promising partnerships when it comes to the Drift. Cheers and thanks for reading! :) |
