Sherlock gets sick, not 'he'll recover in a few days' sick but hospitalised for a long time sick. His friends are all there to help him but he is Sherlock, he doesn't want or need their help. This began as a one-shot which evolved into a multi-parted story and portrays a few scenes from "His Last Vow" which I found were missing in the episode. Not Johnlock, contains spoilers for Season 3.

Of course they have always known that both of their sons have dangerous and difficult jobs and do not exactly lead calm lives. Of course. And yet, when their elder son calls to inform them that someone has put a bullet in their younger son and that he is in hospital, there is absolutely nothing that could ever have prepared them for that./Holmes parents. Mycroft Holmes, logical, rational, is by supposed to be used to his little brother's frequent near-death experiences, such as being shot in the chest. But of course Mycroft has never succeeded in detaching himself from his love for his little brother, and so he finds himself in a state of highly unusual apprehension, fearing for his brother's very life./Takes place during HLV.

Sherlock came back from the dead twice for John. Apparently three times is too much to ask. Written for a prompt- what if Sherlock never called the ambulance to the flat. The two people there with him were medical professionals. Surely they would have noticed? But perhaps not until it was too late. Feels abound. 12 chapters. Rated for language. NOT CANON COMPLIANT.

In this night, when three people break into Magnussen's office at the same time, everything could have gone differently. The assassin shoots, miscalculates. The detective dies, doesn't come back. When Sherlock discovers that he is ill he decides to hide it from John because he is sure that if he lets him discover his weakness John is going to leave him without regret. So, he goes through diagnosis and therapy on his own. He knows he doesn't deserve anything different.

There aren't many things that will stop Sherlock Holmes from running off to a crime scene and investigating. Certainly not John Watson's comments about his pasty skin colour or his being unwell - which is ridiculous because he's absolutely fine. Until, of course, his transport fails while he's crouching down next to a corpse, and John might happen to be right once again./One-shot

Lying in the hospital, Sherlock receives some surprising visitors, and manages to deal with two problems he's been having lately. A missing scene from HLV about a formal introduction that was never made and a visit that was never shown.

A cabbie picks up an unusual passenger one freezing night. He has no coat, a big bruise on his forehead, and seems a bit confused before he rushes off into the darkness. What is a cabbie to do but follow?

Sherlock returns, but his friendship with John is damaged. Nevertheless, they embark on their final hunt to finish off Moriarty's net, but it ends in a catastrophe: Sherlock is shot and lapses into a coma. As John keeps vigil, he reads Sherlock's diary written during the hiatus. Slowly, he begins to understand and finds himself wishing for another miracle. Completed.

When John receives a phone call in the middle of the night, he knows that something has happened to Sherlock, something qualifying as 'not good'. He is, however, not prepared for what has led to his friend's injury and hospitalisation. And he certainly isn't prepared to face the question if Sherlock will ever recover properly from what has happened.

Sherlock knows he has milliseconds to decide, fragments of milliseconds. Because it will only take milliseconds for the man to shoot, to shoot John. Decide whether to move, to cover John. But then, he doesn't need any more time, does he? Because his decision has been made long ago, and for John, he is willing to bear whatever consequences may arise. Whatever. So he moves./One-shot.

Mycroft Holmes is two and a half years old when his parents tell him that he is going to be a big brother. It is never a good idea to kidnap someone in order to get what you want. But to kidnap the British government himself, together with his little brother, and hurt said brother in the process? Definitely even less beneficial. And don't forget about a certain former army doctor, slowly starting to worry about his flatmate. - Two-shot.

Sherlock had known Moriarty would try to burn the heart out of him. He just never expected it to be so... mundane. Honestly, using actual fire? Dull. Told from multiple POVs.

Sherlock arrives ill at a crime scene, and there are... complications. Lestrade makes a phone call, and Sally Donovan sees something wholly unexpected.

Chasing after a pyromaniac bomber Sherlock and John wind up in a deserted building which explodes and leaves them trapped under the rubble, both severely injured. One-shot. Hard-core bromance.

"Did you know that a man will die if he loses five pints of blood?" A chilling story for Halloween.

Sherlock is rendered permanently blind by an explosion and must try to piece his life back together by beginning a new one. John is there with him every step of the way.

This story occur eight months post Reichenbach. Sherlock while recovering from injuries; is asked to assist in a high profile kidnapping. Sherlock fights against time to save the victim, while fighting against memories that threaten to destroy him.

A badly injured Sherlock waits for help to arrive. Naturally, he's more concerned with the whereabouts of his scarf.

If Sherlock were in danger, what would John do to rescue him? And what does that say about John?

Sherlock asks an awkward question, and John struggles to answer helpfully without revealing his hidden feelings towards his flatmate.

Two pills. One poisoned, one harmless. One for John, one for Sherlock.

John goes on a school reunion and gets drunk. Sherlock solves some crimes and gets some interesting phone calls.

Sherlock is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Warning: angst like whoa.

Following the encounter with Moriarty, Sherlock and John grow closer via text messages.

Sherlock gets hurt and sick on a case. John feels guilty because, well...he wasn't there.

Donovan is annoyed with Sherlock, and Anderson offers a chance at revenge. Their little practical joke turns out to be a bit more deadly than they intended.

War. That's it, isn't it? You're in a war. You almost laugh, but then you remember that half a building is currently resting on top of you and you refrain from expressing your incredulity.
