Life is literature and each day a story, book, poem or novel, each moment a chapter, each human being a potential character, each situation a plot. I have enjoyed reading and writing for many years, with the hope to some day have the time to fish, write, ride motorcycles, write, work in my garden and write(while all the time reading at least 2 hours daily). My young son( Pen name "J.R.R. TOLKIEN" on FanFiction)is an exceptional talent who introduced me to this site. It may prove a good medium in which to excorcise a few demons while shaking off the cob webs. I enjoy the standard genius of Steinbeck, Hemmingway, T.S Eliot,Tolkien, Rimbaud, Sinclair Lewis; yet find myself increasingly amazed at the concise reality of Flannery O,Conner (the ultimate master of the short story, sorry Mr Henry). Of the recent crop of novelists I most enjoyed Charles Fraziers "Cold Mountain".
