Hum... guess I should put something here, as well! A little tidbit about me and my fic(s):

I got into reading some fanfics just this summer, after faced with a major disappointment regarding the FemShep/Garrus romance while gaming my way through ME2. I thought, "Hey, this is interesting!" and figured, since I had a lot of opinions and scenarios and how-things-should-have-gone's in my head, that I try my hand at writing some. Just to get it out of my head. Some ME characters really bother me, I want to understand them and the reasons behind their choices (even if it's just my interpretation).

I've an RPG background, but I've always found writing long fiction a bit of a bore, so Like Only Lovers Can is my first attempt at writing fanfic. I guess I just needed the right inspiration, since now I find it hard to stop. I may need to expand from ME to Dragon Age, once I get over dissecting Garrus. Or maybe I need to put him back together and dissect him again and again. We'll see.

I daresay I have a pretty good grasp on processing words into text in general. I write a lot of nonfiction and technical crap on weekly basis, in my own language and in English. But since I'm not a native English-speaker, I'm a bit worried how a story that relies on imagination will translate over. A choice of words that sounds alright to me might read differently to a native speaker, or another non-native speaker, changing the whole content of the sentence without me even noticing... Thus, my stories probably will have minor adjustments over time. A word changed here, a sentence rearranged there. The intent of the words will not change, but I can't promise that someone's interpretation won't.

Anyhoo, enough with the self-conscious rambling. I have a Garrus to dissect.

Got distracted by a ton of new writing, so I'm a bit behind the intended schedule for publishing. But I'll get there!

Been a while... life tossed me more than I could handle. I had some major life changes, moved to a new city, started new studies. I got pretty ill, spent some time in the hospital and stuff. After that I've found it very difficult to sit at my desk, so my computer remained untouched for months. Now I'm finally trying to get back to using it, hopefully even start writing again. I hate leaving stuff unfinished. I'll finish the overhaul of Like Only Lovers Can, and once I've played ME3 (yeah, I've not yet left Earth) and gotten familiar with the new lore I'll pick up on Newcomers. Or maybe I'll just exploit the Wiki for the lore, we'll see. But in any case, there'll be updates hopefully on all stories before Xmas. That's my absolute final deadline. I'm still recovering (yeah, fucked up surgeries take a while...) and don't have my full energy back yet.
