There comes a point when you have to say, screw it. There's only a certain distance you can go on your profile away from the first n00b days. At this point you just have to delete the more egregious stuff and not worry overmuch about it. Favorites lists should be weeded out periodically so you don't have to look at them 4 years later and go holy crap how horrible was my taste in FMA fic back then?!

Language: English. Smattering of Latin, Jewish-upbringing Hebrew, bewildered-tourist French. I can get by in Mandarin.

Personality: Very fragmented.

My username is pretty old. Like, really old, from the days that Fruits Basket and FMA were my only anime fandoms. Foolish younger self...Hughes from FMA, Hana from Furuba, Hilaria is an age-old alter ego from Latin class, and Hypocrite...well, hopefully I can overcome that part.

Things I Like:

Fanfiction: Angst is way fun to read, and I also love wordplay and humor. Highschool!fics can be cool when done right and not overused, plus the one middleschool!fic which was really great. I love quality crossovers, especially with Harry Potter (the universal crossover-fodder). Drabbles, dialogue-fics, most AU, deathfics...I love fanfiction.

Pastimes: Betaing, knitting (while watching Yu-Gi-Oh), making grand plans, living creatively, overthinking song lyrics, reading, freaking people out (did you know that Procne was a character from a Greek myth who killed and cooked her own son and fed him to her husband for dinner?), math, learning in general, kirigami, thinking about stuff.

Music: Green Day, Michelle Branch, YUI, Avril Lavigne, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Fall Out Boy, Ayumi Hamasaki, a bit of Linkin Park, All-American Rejects, and My Chemical Romance.

Anime/Manga: Fruits Basket, Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Death Note, Bleach, Gamerz Heaven, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bakuman, Ouran High School Host Club, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Azumanga Daioh, Gravitation, Uzumaki.

Things I hate:

Fanfiction: Wangst, referring to characters by their gender, referring to characters by their eye and hair color, people who are defensive, people who get angry about reviews or lack thereof, bad grammar that detracts from enjoyment of the story, people who use stories as their soapboxes or showcases, outline-like stories

As for my fics...

Yeah, don't expect any more Hawkeye College out of me for now. I'm not good at long fics. That one was last updated a while ago, and the quality mortifies me. I'm still leaving it up there for the benefit of those people who have inexplicably faved it. I had an epilogue written somewhere, but I'm not gonna lie: it's not going up. I really have moved out of the FMA body of fanfic right now, and am concentrating on absorbing the canon. Sorry to disappoint, but that's the truth.

I finally got my act together and took down the stuff that I really never should have posted in the first place. This is not negotiable. If and when I revise these and feel they are postable, I will post them. Until then, they are gone. Period.

Now I have a few ideas for long fics and a lot for oneshots. I might be posting the oneshots, but not the multis until they're all done. I've learned my lesson from Hawkeye College. Expect...no, don't expect anything. Be surprised.
