Harm and Mac travel to Iraq to get to the bottom of the accidental bombing of an Army unit by Marine F-18s. They soon find themselves in the middle of a war zone, facing fire from all sides. Mac finds herself at a bar, in attempt to drown her sorrows. A tall, handsome, NCIS agent joins her. Will it be the start of something new, or a beautiful disaster?

At the Admiral's retirement party when Harm finally pops the question Mac knows that this is her last chance to get what she has wanted for a very long time. Because AJ had slipped out of the party early she must track him down at his home with a proposition of her own.

After the second time Mac is ordered to prosecute Tom Boone for different suspected offenses she wonders how he could ever think of her any other way. However, she soon finds out that he can! Then we quickly find out that there are many secrets being kept in the JAG offices!

What if Harm had walked away after the end of 'Back in the Saddle', leaving JAG behind for a different path. A Warning: some chapters are a little dark, which is why this is rated M.

This is an alternate reality story in which AJ and Marcella had a son rather than a daughter. We are not judging here, but feel that AJ would have remained more in contact with a son so he had regular visitations of a divorced parent when his deployment and SEAL missions would allow.

When I watched Shifting Sands, and heard the knock at the door after that heart stopping guitar scene, I expected it to be Mac. When it wasn't, I wanted to scream. I decided to rewrite the rest of the scene my way. Here's how it went.
