Hi people! Welcome to icybonbon's profile. Actually, I kinda sorta let my cousin use my account to put her fav stories in here, but the stories are all mine. She's too lazy to come up with her own stories.

14 year old girl (hopefully my obssesive need for romance stories makes that obvious)

Born in the Philippines but moved to the US when I was nine

LOVE anime/manga. Some of my all time favs are Inuyasha, Card Captor Sakura, Fushigi Yuugi, Fruits Basket, Ranma 1/2, Naruto, and Ultra Maniac. And that's just some of them.

Tend to gag at PDA and other romantic junk in real life, but go ga-ga for cute stories, be it novel length fics or oneshots.

Can't seem to stop my obsession with fanfic and practically devouring stories about my fav couples.

Opinionated, stubborn, and loud.

Say the most random things. So do my friends, and as a result, we have tons of inside jokes, a lot of which are based on the sentence "The cat is cold". We use them daily and in a lot of conversations, so anyone listening is always confused.

Participated in nanowrimo for the past two years and planning on doing so every year.

Favorite Ships

Draco/ Hermione- How can you not love this. I'm crazy about the love/hate relationship because it reminds me so much of James and Lily. Besides, you gotta love the bad boy getting the good girl thing. And it might have something to do with the fact that the first story I read here is "Married to Malfoy" by sushifish, who is a great author by the way.

Harry/ Hermione (more my cousin's, but I read it too)- From the beginning we both thought it would end up like this and my cousin thinks that the whole thing in HBP is an act. She says, and I quote, "I will go down with this ship if I have to! They will end up together, and if not in the books, at least in my dreams and in fanfic." Yes, she's very dramatic.

Fred/ Hermione- What can I say? I read "The New Mrs. Weasley" by Christy January and I loved it. Even if you're not a fan, you should read it. It's such a good story.

Lily/ James- Like I said, love/hate. Besides, they are so adorable and when I need a hilarious story to cheer me up on a bad day, these stories always make me laugh. Procrastinator-starting2moro is an author who writes amazing LJ fics. My personal favorite is "Staircase of Doom".

I like pretty much Hermione/ anyone, excluding a couple of people. That's in the ships I hate

Inuyasha/ Kagome- I would like to say that Kikyo can go die, but since she already is, she can go rot in hell, alone, WITHOUT Inuyahsa.

Miroku/ Sango- Ah, my hilarity relief when things get too serious. I mean, he proposed to her, but even that made me laugh.

Syaoran/ Sakura- Unless you are completely blind or are not familiar with the story, I think it's pretty obvious.

Sasuke/Sakura- It's meant to be, dammit! And as much as I hate Sakura in the beginning, she's freaking awesome when she's 15, so it's ok.

Ash/ Misty- They belong together!

Bones (Brennan)/Booth, Temperance/Seeley, Anything you wanna call them- Again, OBVIOUS! Unless you can tell me something that would make Cam look better in my eyes, she can go with Kikyo, too.

Ships I Can Tolerate

Harry/ Ginny- If and only if Hermione is with Draco or someone I like. Sure they look like a new James and Lily, but the books don't really say much about Ginny's grades or how alike she may be to Lily. But, hey, whatev. That's just my opinion. My cousin, however, thinks Ginny should die slowly and painfully. Her words not mine.

Draco/ Ginny- Same thing as Harry/ Ginny. One thing though; how did people come up with this? There's barely a scene where they actually talk (book or movie). And don't give me that Romeo and Juliet crap. I think we all know how that turned out. And before you say anything, DHr is not like Romeo and Juliet. They hate each other (or so it seems), not their families. Although, one of my favorite fics involve Hermione as Juliet and Draco as Romeo in a school play.

One things for sure, you will never, I repeat NEVER, see Ginny as part of the main couple. I don't know why, I just don't like her very much.

Ships I COMPLETELY hate

Hermione/ Ron- so FREAKING predictable. I said I like the whole love/hate thing, but come on, people. Fighting incessantly does NOT mean they'll be in love forever. Besides, if JKR is already writing it for us, why bother? She is the genius that gave us something to write fanfic about.

Hermione/ Snape (or anyone old enough to be her father, for that matter)- Three words: SICK, WRONG, and most importantly EWW!

Lily/ anyone other than James (and vice versa)- do the words "Harry Potter's PARENTS" mean nothing to you?

Inuyasha/ Kikyo- did you miss the "Kikyo can go to hell all by herself" rant?

Cam/Booth- Die, Cam, die!!

Sasuke/ anyone other that Sakura (and vice versa)- Pink and blue forever!

Slash and Femmeslash- I just don't like it, OK?

Kagome and Inuyasha will never be with anyone other than each other. Same goes for Syaoran and Sakura. And Sasuke and Sakura.

Story Ruiners (for me) aka: The Stuff That Annoy the Crap out of Me

Misspelling of character names- People, if you're gonna write about somebody else's work, at least learn to spell the names right.

Improper names- Ok, this is one that I usually come across in anime/ manga fanfics. They live in JAPAN! They have JAPANESE names. If you have to introduce an OC or write an epilogue with them having kids, do NOT name them Drake or Amanda (no offense to people who are actually named this). Unless there is a perfectly logical reason why an American is suddenly in Feudal Japan, it makes no sense. If you're not creative enough to come up with your own names (I know I'm not) or don't know enough Japanese, get a name from another anime/ manga. There's more than enough out there.

OC's becoming the focus- It's alright if an OC happens to be a major character in developing the plot, but you can't just drop a Mary Sue in the middle of Hogwarts and call them the actual "Girl- who- lived". I like to read about my fave couples, not some random person who -gasp- turns out to be the real saviour of the wizarding world. So I guess the fact that Harry Potter is the reason you have something to write about doesn't matter at all?

Total OOCness- It's ok if the characters are a bit OOC to help the story work (especially with my fave pairings), but when Hermione is suddenly a model with "curves in all the right places" (God knows how many times I've seen that) and she starts wearing thigh-length skirts and halter tops while Draco (or anyone) drowns in a pool of his own drool, staring after her, that is just going too far. If the only reason they notice each other is because -oh my gosh- they've suddenly turned into glowing gods/ goddesses, that is a VERY shallow relationship and I doubt they'd last long.

Super Fast Love- I don't care what Shakespeare says, people don't fall in love during one conversation. It takes time and there are things that you have to overcome. One of them is usually denial. You can't just take one look at a person and realize, "I'm in love and I'm ready to sacrifice my life for them", unless of course you have been under EXTREME denial and are then just coming to grips with the fact that you might actually be in love with someone. (ya, I'm talkin to you SASUKE!)

Huge amounts of grammar and spelling errors- I'm fine when there are a few here and there, because I know no one's perfect and I'm perfectly aware that a lot of people write fanfic just for fun, but if you keep switching from past to present tense it gets confusing. Then there's also the correct use of periods, quotation marks, exclamation points, spacing between paragraphs, etc. As for the spelling, there's this thing called a dictionary. Or if you're too lazy to go look up a few words, there's an online dictionary too, you know. I think it's always better to have someone beta it for you before you post it. A lot of times it keeps you from getting flames.

That's all I can think of for now. I'll put more up when I see them/ think of them.
