![]() Author has written 4 stories for Hunter X Hunter, Yu-Gi-Oh, Inuyasha, and Fairy Tail. Introduction/Why I'm Here Hello, loves! My name is Meiko Matsuri of NexusGen Radio and I've created this Fanfiction account to complement the Fanfiction movement NexusGen is having on our blog, matsuriradio.com. Any fanfiction I write will be posted to the blog first, then here on Fanfiction! Why am I here? To attract readers to listen to NexusGen's podcast, where we want you to get sexy, steamy and silly with the Matsuri sisters! Saki, Tenshi and I have a great time discussing anime, movies, games, sex, relationships and so much more, and we'd love for everyone to come and discover their AfterDark Hearts! Like my Fanfiction? Then you'll love hearing my voice every weekend as Saki, Tenshi and I bring you the latest in our otaku world. About Me I won't delve into this much, but I'm a college-aged student attending a university in the United States. Born and raised here in the States, so the American spelling is what I'll mainly use, except for a few instances where I prefer the English spelling (e.g. dreamt, spelt, theatre). I'm currently a co-host of a new weekly podcast that covers a wide range of topics. I also work for two of my school's newspapers, as I hope to fulfill my dream of becoming an editor/writer. With the podcast under my belt, I may even be able to look into news broadcasting and radio. About My Fanfiction What can I say about my Fanfiction? Well, it's definitely unique in a sense because I tend to focus on the mind of a character, digging deep into their thought processes and discovering who they are. Essentially, I like giving anime characters depth and dimension, so that is what I hope you get from reading my fanfiction. Aside from depth, I try to develop relationships between characters that we may not see in the anime or manga. Not because the mangakas/artists are avoiding it, but more because there's a hint of a connection, but there hasn't been a chance to explore it. That's my goal as well. What would happen if the main character developed a relationship (romantic or platonic) with a character that doesn't get much screen time? What would happen if the supporting characters became the heroes rather than just the sidekicks? What would happen if these two characters fell in love; what if they DIDN'T fall in love? You can expect all that and more from my writing. Another thing about my writing is that aside from the changes I make, you can consider it canon. At least, it follows the anime/manga's story guidelines. It's the same universe, same people, same time, same place. I don't do AU's often because I try to be as true to the material as possible. Of course, every now and then I might switch things up a bit, depending on what kind of world I'm trying to build for my readers. So just because I won't do it often, don't expect for them not to appear every now and then. Switching things up every now and then should take you on a fun ride. If you're able, I would LOVE for you to check out our podcast if you're loving the stories I'm telling. Like I said, all of my fanfiction will be hosted there first before being posted here on Fanfiction. My Fandoms I actually have a separate Fanfiction account devoted solely to Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfiction, so you could say I'm a huge fan of the (original) series, so don't be surprised if I write for its fandom. I tend to post whatever I feel like writing about. I'm planning on writing for Hunter x Hunter, Skip Beat!, Attack on Titan (a big maybe), Inuyasha, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Avatar: The Legend of Korra (another big maybe) and other shows I pick up along the way. About NexusGen Formerly know as AfterDark Radio, NexusGen Radio was started by Saki and I in late 2013 as an extension of Saki's AfterDark posts, which asked the sexiest and naughtiest questions of our fellow otakus in various Facebook groups. Now, we discuss various topics, do interviews with interesting otakus (cosplayers, musicians, etc.) and have an all around good time. We also have a keen interest in giving a voice to the unheard and building and nurturing connections with the talented people that tune in to our blog and podcast. On our blog (matsuriradio.com), I post fanfiction (updated soon after on here), Saki posts anime reviews, Domo posts webcomic reviews, and Tenshi posts poems for MatsuriSlam. We also feature fanfiction writers, musicians, and artists of all trades who wish to be heard. It's a lot of fun and hearing from our audience means the world to us. Any Questions? Well, that's enough about me. If there's anything else I've missed, I'll constantly update my profile to keep all of you updated. If you have any questions about any of my fanfics or about the NexusGen podcast, feel free to PM me here, email us at nexusgenradio@gmail.com, like us on Facebook (NexusGen Radio) or hit me up on Twitter @MeikoNexusGen or @NexusGenRadio. Thanks for reading and I hope you'll discover your Nexus power with me! Stay Sexy, Meiko UPDATE (May 19, 2014): Heat Like Scarlet will be updated this Friday (second chapter is already up) and A Hanyou's Masquerade will have its return next Tuesday. Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy the tales I spin. As always, both stories will be updated first on the blog at matsuriradio.com, so be sure to be on the lookout! |
