Sequel to Against a Brick Wall. Kaito's found Pandora but there's a problem. Someone's been kidnapped. Now Kid must go to Hakuba for help, and not just him. With Snake playing his cards right, Kaito will have to decide what's really important in his life.

Life is anything but what we plan it to be. Things that seem like they would come out one way come out another. Snake loses interest in Pandora, Kaito loses interest in the normalcy of life. When things take a drastic change, nothing is short and sweet.

Hakuba's gotten into a case and can't go to the police for help. When Kid shows up he must decide whether to accept the thief's help or fight a losing battle alone.

He doesn't believe in magic and yet Conan has become Akako's apprentice. As his own powers slowly unravel, they'll cause events that'll change the future, rekindle the past and bring light to the present.

A slip of the tongue alerts Conan that Kogoro might not be as ignorant as he thought. Kogoro needs to think of a way to throw the mini-detective off his trail, and fast!
