Semi-AU. The story begins in 2004, while Fitz is a senator from California and Olivia is a recent college graduate living in L.A. Olivia is leaving, traveling to parts unknown. Before she gets on that plane though she reflects on how she came to this decision, including the battle royale she had with Fitz regarding Defiance and the spying. I was compelled to write this fic because I really need to hear these two lay it all on the table. An apology may not be enough, but it's a start. Sequel follows.

Originally titled "The Beginning of an End," before it was deleted. I revived it from the dead! I will continue this story until it's finished. For those that don't know, this is a completely different approach to Fitz and Liv. He's the CEO of a financial firm and she's the new Image Consultant and Director of Communications. I have a new pen name as well!
