This account is fairly old and I haven't updated it in a long time. I am thinking a lot these days about the ways in which my writing can be hurtful to those who might come here to read. And I'm trying to do better as I go forward. But I'm reluctant to remove old pieces because it shows where I've been and what I've said. And it doesn't feel right hiding the ugly stuff just because now I think I've learned more and know better.

So instead I will add some warnings and disclaimers. (And I haven't reread all my fic lately, so I am undoubtedly missing some things.)

But for the time being:

Justice Writes Friendfiction: Relies on a couple of deeply sexist and cissexist concepts as a stand-in for humor. Based off concepts put forth directly in the game, but I didn't have the awareness or interest to critique those concepts rather than go along with them for the poor attempt at being funny.

Circle Letters: Very misogynistic slur used in an attempt to be edgy and reclaim it, but that intent neither matters nor was it clear. Feels like a slap in the face at the end of this little scene. I regret it deeply.

I'm so sorry. I am working to do this better. I think about all the truly hurtful and hateful cultural messages that I've been raised in and continue to live in. And I want to do my part to break them down, not bolster them. Self critique and reflection feels like an important part of making that change.
