Piper and Alex Boarding School AU. Piper starts at Litchfield Academy her sophomore year, where she's assigned the previously vacant half of the dorm room belonging to Alex Vause - resident scholarship kid and purveyor of contraband substances to most of the student population.

It's been two months of agony for Piper Chapman and she is struggling to cope, but when Winter arrives, it brings with it Alex Vause and something neither of them was prepared for. Expect some solid Vauseman and shenanigans along the way.

Alex Vause had never considered herself anything out of the ordinary, but these days she's to be feared and loathed. Yet Piper Chapman's blood still stains her brain; the weight of a crime she didn't commit. The world turns to color the night Piper Chapman walks into a bar looking for a job and meets Alex Vause, instead. With most people in her life, however, she pretends to still see in black and white. Follows canon through season one.

Alex is suffering some severe post traumatic stress and self-image issues after the incident at the greenhouse left her scarred and emotionally damaged forever, and only one person has the power to bring her back to herself and make her feel worthy again. In which Piper Chapman is a bored but conditioned high society girl, traveling first class with her obscenely wealthy parents and fiancé, Larry Bloom; Alex Vause is a ruffian semi-homeless artist who's never once dressed or acted like a "lady", coming aboard with a steerage ticket won with a lucky hand of poker.

AU. Multi-chapter fluff fest. Piper's a teacher, Alex a bar owner. No drugs, no Litchfield, just life. Vauseman, so could get decidedly M in later chapters.
