![]() Author has written 8 stories for Mass Effect, Harry Potter, and Dragon Age. I've never been particularly good at summarizing myself- hopefully you'll bear with my stories regardless. Like everyone else on this site, I love writing (to say nothing of reading!). To me stories are some delightful combination of relationship and journey. You build rapport with characters, and emotionally invest in them. Exploring ways they could be different, ways the plot could have been different- in many ways feels necessary for me. This probably harkens back to my incredible love and need to be part of the creative writing process. I'm hardly content to sit back and let the story come to me- I need to engage with the story, to become part of it, rather than a spectator. Predominantly I write pieces derived from my Bioware game play-throughs. In the grand tradition, I love Dragon Age and Mass Effect in particular. However, don't count me out for a Lord of the Rings or Labyrinth retelling one day! I do welcome reviews and constructive critiques. One can't get better without the help of correction and encouragement in equal measure. Completed Works- Letters and Questions: Dragon Age 2 oneshot. An conversation between Hawke and Cullen. Accusations are made, old wounds are exposed, and an upspoken agreement is reached by discussing everything but the elephant in the room. Lifetimes- A Memoir: A piece as told by one Bellatrix Lestrange. Her journey told briefly in her own words. (It's my attempt to try to climb inside the mind of a psychotic sadist, and explore the love she has for a man who will never and can never love her back) Improvised Explosions: Just a quick piece, a moment between Thane and Shepard. It seems rather innocent at first, but our actions speak far louder than our voices and theirs are practically screaming volumes. The Things You Don't Know: A short Mass Effect story about mourning, friendship and how love can sometimes be expressed by keeping silent. Stories In Progress- The Cost: A rendition of my Dragon Age: Origins character. Story follows the game plot for my Elf Mage, and includes some creative license towards the end. (Story retitled) Working Title At Present: A Dragon Age 2 story, involving FemHawke (mage) and everyone's favorite broodsome elf. (This piece is still in the very early stages) If anyone can recommend beta readers, please feel free to pm me, I'm always looking for input! Thanks for reading!! |
