Also constant re-edits to the point my stories were worse than they were before. Eh.

Big fan of the Final Fantasy series, Kill Bill, some anime like Berserk, Psycho-Pass etc. Mostly interested in dark and/or thought-provoking stories, with good characters and plot.

Also, head over to Ao3. Probably better on all counts, except for community in some fandoms.

Also, a message to those of Critics United:

You're not saving this site from a shut down by reporting a few fics here and there. I think it's unlikely that fanifction.net will ever be sued, especially for songfics of all things, but it may happen and it will not be prevented by you lot.

You will never successfully police fanfiction.net. It is a fruitless task, and while I can understand your motives, I find it would be far more helpful for authors and you guys to band together and campaign for reform. Like the drug war, you're never going to successfully police drugs, so you might as well make them legal. I suppose policing and campaigning are not mutually exclusive, but at some point it comes down to having your principles defined by yourself, not your 'job' or the TOS.

The great thing I find about this site is community that can sometimes be hard to find in some fandoms over in Ao3. This site shutting down may be a tragedy, or may be amazing depending on where everyone goes in the fallout. Let's see.
