Hi.

Wow, what an introduction...

I feel like I owe you guys something. I make promises of update schedules, I try to be edgy when it comes to my profile, but I don't keep my promises and I don't think that anyone even reads my profile.

You see the profile page doesn't work the same way as the stories. I can't tell how many people read my profile page and it doesn't really matter.

But I just get frustrated when I see other writers I know being so far ahead of me with both their writing ability and stories in general.

I always feel like I'm one step behind.

I'm so proud of fellow writers, but I just get so disappointed in myself and own writing skills. I feel like I let people down when I don't update even if people aren't reading my work.

Even now, writing this I feel as if I'm just making excuses for why I don't update as much as I should.

It's not as if I've even received any P.M's being like "why haven't you updated" but I know that at the back of my mind I haven't, and I keep on not updating stories and stuff.

I suppose the truth is that I've grown up a bit in the past four years that I've been on this site.

For those of you who know me, you know that I am 106% obsessed with Merlin, I grew up with the show and it is literally the only genre I write in. But that was when I was 13 or so. I'm almost 17 and whilst I still enjoy Merlin and writing about what should have happened after the show ended, I'm not as keen on it as I used to be. Writing about it has become a sort of chore... and writing shouldn't be like that.

You should write because you want to write, not because you have to.

I feel like I've hit a brick wall with my writing. I'm not progressing in terms of how I want to progress. I have plenty of original story ideas floating around my brain, but I am constantly having to put them aside because I so badly want to finish my many Merlin fanfics...

I'm sorry for ranting, you were probably not expecting a rant... but yeah you got one...

Anyway my moral of the story is that you should write for yourself, not for others, if you are not writing for yourself, you should just take a step back and reflect.

As I said no one probably reads this, but if you are here and you read this, than thanks. I may not know anything about you but I do know you have a passion for writing, or reading or for stalking someone on the internet :)

9/12/2017 ~ I'm in a position to update. No that isn't a joke. I am actually in a position to update. To update or not update is the question.

18/03/2018 ~ And so the dusty cobwebs have been blown off the fan fiction and more editing has been done on chapter 9
