![]() Author has written 5 stories for Twilight, and King Arthur. Hello to all It seems you found your way to my bio page (sorry, it's really rather boring), but since I have started posting a couple of stories, I thought I would update it. I am a 36 (time is flying, it's been nearly ten years since I found the site) year old with a husband and 4 kidlings (one of whom is 3. Doesn't make for a lot of time to write -- or read does it? I am trying really! Don't give up on me.) Life was really busy and hectic during the time I was writing Shards and I have to admit I lost steam and the story slipped -- SORRY. I was pregnant with a hubby out of town for the entire pregnancy and ten months afterwards, two little kids and then a newborn, selling a house, moving (twice), and buying a house. So you can see that my mind was on other things but Kellan is still on my mind A LOT (nagging me, really) and the story will be finished, I am just not sure when, so for now it is on hiatus.* I have a wonderful little Chihuahua named Chick and 2 lovely little budgie birds named Alice and Monet. Since the last update, we have had to separate our happy little budgies who decided to have a family. We have 5 additional budgies, 2 were gifted to my parents, leaving us with Sweetie, Bubba (so named because she squashed a couple siblings to death), and Fatty (she was the oldest and fattest of her clutch.) I love to cook and experiment with food (ask my family), and I love to watch movies (oh, Captain Jack, Loki, and now several Dwarves - yes, Dwarves!), but I have a VORACIOUS appetite for reading. (Seriously, that's how I found this site. I'm addicted and have been since I can remember. It helps me get my fix, without spending more money on books. :o)) My first book love was Charlotte's Web. I still cry when Charlotte dies (hey, who doesn't?). Some of my "newer" favorites are: The Sevenwaters Trilogy (and her new ones) by Juliet Marillier, Wuthering Heights by Bronte (the adaptation with Ralph Fiennes as Heathcliff has been my favorite so far), Susan Kay's Phantom, the Harry Potter series, Les Miserables by Hugo, anything Jane Austen, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings (my dad read The Hobbit to me and my brothers before we could walk), The Twilight series (yes, I still love Twilight and will forever. Some of my bestest friends were gotten through that series. I'm older, not dead!) the Mercy Thompson stories and the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, and any other worthwhile reading material that I can get my hands on. Currently, I have a basket full of books to be read. My favorites by far, though, are fantasy and historical fiction with plenty of magic -- real life is serious enough without having to read about it in books. As I feel I have no real aptitude for writing (though I love it and try very hard), I LOVE reading the stories that people write for this site. I am in awe of all of you! Keep up your great and entertaining work! |
