Arthur Kirkland is sent to Azkaban. There, he has a brief exchange with convicted Sirius Black. At first Sirius assumes the gloom hadn't got to Arthur yet, but slowly it becomes apparent that the sorrow of the prison has no affect on Arthur whatsoever.
