A modern gothic story, somewhat inspired by the likes of Jane Eyre. Jane is a brooding widower in a creepy old house, where Teresa Lisbon is hired to be the nanny to his daughter, Charlotte. Some might say AU, but the content could be fitted into a suitable storyline. Mild sex references and strong descriptions of self harm. I'd been feeling in the mood for writing this one for a while, but had trouble getting the right beginning. Here it is! Sorry if this image of Teresa is not to your taste, I just had to get out some pent up feelings!

'Jane squeezed her fingers. "Anxious to get going?" he murmured. "We're just lucky some idiot didn't sneak on board and disrupt proceedings. I hear the TSA really frowns on that sort of thing."'

When Jane receives a call from a person of his past who requires the help of him and Teresa, they have to take a trip back to Sacramento to fix the situation. Generally rated K, although some higher rated stuff may come later.

Self loathing builds in Jane as Red John tortures Lisbon...M

Lisbon prepares herself for her recently accepted job in Austin. However, when a guy she likes isn't happy about her choice, they end the relationship there. But when she arrives in Texas, Jane's changed, and her new apartment provides a quiet place for them to do as they please... Rated M following guidelines. Adult themes suggested.

With Lisbon having a relationship with Marcus Pike, Jane is feeling replaced and it's when a sudden proposition comes hurtling toward Teresa that Jane finally voices his thoughts and tells her that he needs her...
