Favorite movies: All of the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars Episodes 3-7 (Nothing against those who like the first two, I'm just not a fan), The Dark Knight Trilogy, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Up, Inside Out, The Toy Story Trilogy, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, The Blues Brothers, Batman (1989), Coraline, How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2, Kung Fu Panda Trilogy, Jurassic Park, King Kong (1933 and 2005), The Secret of Nimh, Planet of the Apes, Mary Poppins, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, and Django Unchained Favorite Cartoons: Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Young Justice, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teen Titans, The Simpsons (Only the first ten seasons), Legend of Korra, Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, The Boondocks, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, The Loud House, Gravity Falls, and Futurama Favorite TV Shows: The Flash, Arrow, Game of Thrones, Bar Rescue, The Office, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Man v. Food, Doctor Who (Allons-y!) and Mystery Science Theater 3000 (~He tried to kill me with a forklift!~) Favorite Animes: Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin, My Hero Academia, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, RWBY, Naruto, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist, Clannad, and Clannad: After Story (What can I say? I'm a sucker for romance.) Favorite Pokémon of each type (No Legendaries or Megas): Normal: Eevee (This thing can be very useful when you need a specific type. Plus, it so cute that I want one as a pet.) Fire: Infernape (This one was the starter that made me love Pokémon and helped me beat Platinum.) Water: Greninja/Vaporeon (Who doesn't love a ninja that's also a frog. The only gripe I have is its tongue scarf. Seriously, ew. Also, Ash-Greninja is pretty awesome, just wish Water Shuriken wasn't restricted to three hits. On the other hand, I've had some success with a Vaporeon using this moveset: Scald, Ice Beam, Aqua Ring, Protect, while giving it leftovers.) Grass: Decidueye/ Lurantis (I had a hard time choosing between Rowlet and Litten. I, initially, went with Litten but after a while, I found it hard to really build a team around it. With Decidueye, it was easy to build a team because I knew which Pokémon I wanted for it. Not to mention it looks awesome and its Z-move is fantastic. On the other hand, Lurantis is a beautiful looking Pokémon and it was the hardest trials I faced in Sun.) Electric: Tapu Koko (This thing looks awesome, it's insanely strong, despite it not being a "powerful" legendary, and it was also an easy catch for me. One Quickball!) Fighting Lucario (This one is because of my love for it in competitive play, even without the Mega.) Psychic: Espeon (This is definitely my favorite eeveelution. Plus, when I played Colosseum as a kid, Espeon was my top battler.) Ice: Alolan Ninetales (This one is just beautiful. I mean seriously, this is one of the best designs in Sun and Moon.) Poison: Crobat (This one is because this was the one that helped me beat the Elite Four in Omega Ruby and beat Steven's Metagross.) Ground: Nidoking (This one is nostalgia from when I played Fire Red.) Rock: Tyrantrum (~I'm a motherf*ing T-rex. I'm a motherf*ing T-rex.~) Flying: Noivern/Yanmega (I'll admit, I love these two simply for their looks. I mean they just look badass.) Ghost: Mimikyu (When I first saw this, I didn't think much of it. However, after reading its Pokédex entries, I just want to give it a hug. Also, it's ability is good for set up. Put a Focus Sash on it and you're golden.) Steel: Metagross (Yes, I, like many, got the shiny Beldum when Omega Ruby came out. This was the one that literally was my sweeper.) Dark: Zoroark (This is, without a doubt, my favorite Pokémon that's not a starter. It's got good special attack and speed, it's ability will always keep people on their toes and, finally, it just looks awesome!) Bug: Ribombee/Araquanid (I'll admit, choosing between these two was tough. They both are such good bug types. On the one hand, Araquanid is bulky and has such a good ability with Water Bubble that it can one-shot most of my opponents but it's slow. On the other, Ribombee is a fast special attacker but is frail. Also, not only is it adorable but I have given my Ribombee, Flutterby, the moniker "Dragonslayer" because of a simple formula I have: Focus Sash, Quiver Dance, and Moonblast = Dead Dragons.) Fairy: Togekiss (Air Slash, Thunder Wave, and Serene Grace = You're never gonna get a chance to attack.) Dragon: Flygon (When I replayed Omega Ruby, I caught a Trapinch and evolved it into a Flygon which became the MVP of my team. Plus its design looks freaking awesome.) Top 5 Pokemon I wished got a Mega Evolution:
Top 3 Pokémon that didn't need a mega:
Types of Fanfics that I like: In a Different Universe- For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, this is a fanfic where a character from one show, movie, game, etc. or an OC is sent to a different universe entirely. The reason I like these is that they are a great 'what if' story. It's so interesting seeing a character that we are all well aware of and see him or her using their skills in an entirely new environment. However, one has to make sure that the actions of whatever character is chosen actually has consequences. Simply inserting them into the stories and having everything go the exact same way is boring. Crack fics: Fics like this really kill me sometimes. These are the types that always take everything we know and love about our favorite characters and just chucks it out the window. In its place, they are given completely different personalities which ultimately lead to major laughs and major insanity. Reading/Watching Fics: Now, this type is a bit hit or miss for me. While there are some fics like this that actually do a good job of showing the characters proper reactions, most of the time, writers just put too many characters in and only limit themselves to a few lines of commentary before going back to what they were watching. The true way to write the type of story is to have just a set number of characters and actually have them enter a full conversation before returning back to what they watch. Don't just write them nodding, agreeing, or write an emotion they feel. Actually, have them verbalize it and have them discuss what happens. Types of Fanfics that I hate: Betrayal Fanfics: This one I have seen so many times it's not even funny. I've seen it in fics for Danny Phantom, Ben 10, Naruto, and even POKÉMON! Ones like this just never made any sense to me. It's taking beloved characters that we've all grown up with and know by heart and just turning them into the biggest assholes you've ever seen. This just seems like a gimmick to add some drama to something that was fine on its own. The "Naruto is Forgotten" Fanfics: Another I've seen far too often. These are the ones where Naruto has his parents in his life. Sound good, right?...WRONG! For some reason, that's never fully explained, his parents just ignore him and act like he doesn't exist in favor of a twin brother or sister. The problems I have with these are, again, the reason as to why is never fully explained and, like mentioned in the Betrayal fics, this is taking two of the greatest characters to come out of the Naruto franchise, Minato, and Kushina, and make them seem like the worst parents imaginable. Also, they're so overdone that I can actually know, without fail, what exactly is gonna happen in the story and how each character will feel. Harem fanfics( to an extent): Now I'm not hating on fanfics like this, there are some that I've read that are handled well. The major problem I have with these is that some writers tend to just give a character a girl without giving enough time to allow their relationship to grow. So many times, after maybe a chapter or two, two or more characters will get together. That's not how relationships work! You need to get to know the person you like. Fanfic Clichés that I hate: The "Edgy" Protagonist: Why is it that in most OC stories that I've read, they always seem to have a protagonist that has had some kind of terrible past...why? What's wrong with simply having a character be happy with a good past. So many times, I've seen an OC character that was a victim of bullying, abuse, or depression. I understand that these are to create drama but it just seems like a cheap way to do it. This also seems to plague most 'In a Different Universe' fanfics and it's usually used as a ploy to have a character stay in that universe. However, I feel that if a protagonist was happy with his life back home, they should try to find a way back. Thus, if they end up falling in love with someone, use that to create the drama as it will cause the character internal conflict which will ultimately lead to a big decision. Whatever is chosen next is completely up to the writer. The Civilian Council: This has been seen in almost any Naruto fic where he's written as a smart character. I, honestly, have no idea how this idea came about. Where in the show did it ever say there was a Civilian Council? There is a Konoha Council but it's mostly just the Hokage and the advisors. Never has there been any indication of a council like that. It just seems like a way to create unneeded conflict for Naruto. Bashing Character: This cliché just seems like a way for a fan to hate on a character that they've always disliked. This another trope you see in Naruto fanfics, usually with Sasuke, Sakura, and the "Civilian Council". It seems to disregard all of the growth that a character has done, simply focuses on one negative aspect of that character and multiplies it by the Nth degree. For example, they make Sasuke act like Joffrey from Game of Thrones, Sakura like a loud, annoying, weak fangirl, and the "Council" like raving idiots that seem to go out of their way to hate a character for something that wasn't even his fault. Now, I understand that many of these characters were like this. Sasuke was a bit of a prick but, at least in the beginning, he didn't go power mad and was willing to do anything to get it. That was only after he got the curse seal. Sakura was a fangirl, in the first series, but she did grow into a strong character and did help out in battles at times. And, again, this "Civilian Council" in a "Ninja" village does not exist. Naruto is abused by the village: Again, where did this come from? Now, I know that Naruto was hated by the village and they shunned him, but it was never indicated that he was abused. Most of the villagers just kept away from him like he was the plague and wanted nothing to do with him. They Hurt Her About six years ago in Indiana, Carmen Winstead was pushed down a sewer opening by five girls in her school, trying to embarrass her in front of her school during a fire drill. When she didn't submerge, the police were called. They went down and brought up 17-year-old Carmen Winstead's body, with her neck broken from hitting the ladder, then the concrete at the bottom. The girls told everyone she fell... They believed them. FACT: About two months later, 16-year-old David Gregory read this post and didn't repost it. When he went to take a shower, he heard laughter, started freaking out, and ran to his computer to repost it. He said goodnight to his mom and went to sleep, but five hours later, his mom woke up in the middle of the night from a loud noise and David was gone. A few hours later, the police found him in the sewer, with a broken neck and the skin on his face peeled off. Even Google her name - you'll find this to be true. If you don't repost this saying "They hurt her," then Carmen will get you, either from a sewer, the toilet, the shower, or when you go to sleep, you'll wake up in the sewer, in the dark, then Carmen will come and kill you Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I know You are the only way to God. So now I want to quit disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive me, change my life and show me how to know You. In Jesus' name. Amen. If you believe in Jesus Christ put this in your profile and don't just ignore this, because in the Bible it says if you deny me, I will deny you in front of my Father in the gates of Heaven.~ |
