I chose The Other SeeD as my pen name because I like the idea of being a SeeD; a combat specialist from Final Fantasy 8. But I would never want to draw the spotlight away from the original FF8 characters, who deserve the true recognition. I'd just want to be a minor SeeD; a little important, but not too much. I don't want to be THE SeeD...therefore, I'll be The OTHER SeeD. The guy on the sidelines, doing his part, but not the hero.

Some time ago, I started writing fanfiction for Squaresoft's Final Fantasy 8--one of my favorite games in the past. I submitted some of these stories to various forums and websites, but so far I have yet to see any of my work published online (unless my memory or sight fails me).

So I decided, with the encouragement of a friend, to register at Fanfiction.net and put up my work myself. I just got here, and the site already looks promising. When I have time, I'm going to start putting up selected fanfics from my writing pool.

So far, I've only written fanfiction based on Final Fantasy 8. I've been lightly playing with the idea of writing about other Final Fantasy games in the series (I've also finished FFX and X-2), or even short stories unrelated to video games. I'm an open book here, so I'll welcome any praise, criticism, and advice from anyone at all. See you all out there...
