![]() Author has written 7 stories for Naruto. Update as of October 6, 2014: First, a word of thanks for all those who have taken the time to read and favorite/follow these strange little stories that pop out of my head from time to time. I really appreciate your support and encouragement. Secondly, I've gone back over a few of my stories and cringed, so you know what that means: MASSIVE REWRITES: Kakashi's Kekkaishi is undergoing a major overhaul. The Tawse That Refreshes has two more chapters to go (also in a state of flux meaning written, but yet to be sent to my wonderful beta reader). I suffered from a serious bout of writer's block and that's how At The Intersection of Gauche and Obtuse came about and yes there is more than one chapter coming. All these stories WILL BE COMPLETED! So once again, many thanks for the encouraging PMs, as they are and have been greatly appreciated. Should I tell you things I like, things I hate, dreams for the future, hobbies? If that doesn't let you know I'm a huge fan of Hatake Kakashi, I'm not sure what will. I find the character fascinating which drew me into Naruto first. He's flawed, broken and put back together in a way that intrigues me. I always wondered if Kakashi's ninken reveal parts of the his persona. Hmm, I'll get back you on that one. Iruka however, strikes me as an oddity; in a world of ninja where death is just another occupational hazard, his warm heart, sense of equity, and genuine concern fills a much-needed void. Though I love the Kakashi/Iruka pairing, I have a hard time reading stories where Iruka is portrayed as weak, shy, blushing, etc. He's a man for corn's sake and I enjoy fan fiction that presents him on equal footing with Kakashi as a manly man. Many of my stories have Iruka as a loving disciplinarian. If I had to pair Kakashi with anyone other than Iruka, it would be Yamato/Tenzou. They have a history together in ANBU, and co-captain a reformulated team. Working on a Kaka/Yama story too. Not to slight anyone who enjoys pairing Kakashi with the members of his Team 7 (Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke), it's just not my thing. They'll always be kids in my mind, and much too young for intimate interaction with their Kakashi-sensei. As for me, I am a hospice case manager. I love my job because it allows me to give comfort, often to those who have no else to do so. Lessons learned from the job include: 1. Living each day as if its your last. 2. Letting the people you love know it. 3. Letting go of bitterness, jealously, anger, and resentment. These can kill a person off just as surely as being run over by a train. Only much slower. My life's managed by a bossy short-haired cat overlord; she makes me happy when I would prefer to sulk, and drives me up wall when she wants to play and I'm too tired, but I love her anyway. There are times when I think the feeling is mutual. |
