The verses about Aragorn in Gandalf's letter were written by Bilbo. This is a story about the relationship of the Ranger and the Hobbit, and the events that inspired each of those verses.

The Giants have risen once again, and now Gaea needs the blood of Olympus in order to reawaken from Tartarus. Percy must protect his friend at any cost. Everyone has something to lose. . . Who will survive in the end?

Percy and Annabeth have survived Tartarus...barely. But the fight in hell didn't leave them the same as before; they've noticably changed, and they can't help it. Nico, Reyna, and Coach Hedge are off to return the Athena Parthenos to Camp Half-Blood, all while Gaea is rising and the giants are ready for war. Can the seven get to Athens in time to stop Gaea, while saving the camps?

Annabeth is convinced that life will never be like a happy song, so she tries to keep it real. She decides to spend some time with her dad over the summer in Naples. She'll be working at the Waldorf Astoria Resort there for three months. It just so happens that a certain Percy Jackson is the lifeguard.
