I write for me and nobody else. It's been a form of quiet therapy for me for quite some time now. I decided to begin posting what I write on the internet because it's always nice to get feedback...and because a friend or two strong-armed me into it. Either way, here I am and here I stay. Also, if you feel the urge just drop me a line. I'd like to think I'm a pretty friendly person.

I also wouldn't mind having a beta, if you're up to the task. I know I'll need one soon. Being my beta entails acting as my Substantive Editor, really. Keeping an eye out for plotholes, watching character developement, and keeping subplots straight. You know, the fun stuff. Proofreading just automatically comes with it. A beta is someone I can trust to help me make my stories better and in some cases, more coherent. Let me know if you'd like to do it. Just make sure you've got MSN messenger. It's the fastest way to communicate with me.

These roads that we pave, and these holes that we dig; does it amount to nothing, when Fate has her own plans?

This story is set in 1960's America. I got the idea from one of my favorite and most respected authors, The Glass Slipper. Ironically, I only really keep up with one of her stories, since my taste in pairings is vastly (well, maybe not vastly) different from hers. However, I read the summary of her story The Winning Hand, and my immediate reaction was, "The 60's? Brilliant! Why hasn't anyone done this before?" For all I know, it has been done in the world of fanfiction, but either way, it was she who implanted the possibility in my head. Now, after writing up my outline and reading The Winning Hand just to make sure, I can safely say that the only similarity between her fic and '67 is the year the story takes place in.

What makes us so cruel and loving; so weak and intimidating? What makes us live?

This is a lovely story that my friend unortunately abandoned. He wrote it with the intention of helping the small Demiku fanbase grow, but he (apparantly) hadn't quite thought out where the story was going. He got bored with it. I more or less ripped him a new one when he decided to officially discontinue it, which simply resulted in him passing on the torch to me. I do love this idea (Pinnochio is one of my favorite fairy tales) and I hope I can live up to the expectations of previous fans, and entertain the hell out of a few new ones.

Maybe love really isn't the strongest thing in the universe.

As a theatre fairy, I'll fully admit to prancing around in tights, dresses, and make-up (it's for the stage). But the only play where I've had so much fun while being what our society has seen fit to call a pansy, was Billy Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's a delightfully sweet and magical piece that never fails to make me smile. Four lovers confused as to whom they actually love, because of the magic of a jilted fairy lover who just thinks it's funny and his bumbling assistant, is just perfect for a fanfic. Don't you think? And while I'm at it, let's make it shounen-ai.
