A Regency P&P story with a twist. Darcy and Elizabeth meet in Scotland when they are younger. He, unencumbered with guardianship and estate responsibilities and she, before years of meddling and matchmaking have taken their toll. Note that birth dates are played with a bit in this story but most relative ages stay reasonably close to the original :)

A second glance at Elizabeth, and Darcy felt an immediate pull. In a library one evening, his guard dropped, and he couldn't help himself. What if Elizabeth had overheard the conversation about herself and her family while she was staying at Netherfield? His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. If happenstance forced Darcy to marry Elizabeth before he loved her, or even knew her at all, would he ever be able to get past his pride to recognise his fortune?

Lothíriel marries Théodred of Rohan amidst a world about to be destroyed by the blood red tides of war. Her new life in Rohan is anything but expected, especially as she grows closer with two vastly different marshals and befriends Lady Éowyn. But darker currents are afoot, as a worm and a war grow to tear appart the world that Lothíriel has tentatively started to love.

The shadows gather. To create anew the old friendship between the kingdoms of Rohan and Gondor, a marriage is agreed upon. An unexpected bridegroom, a reluctant princess, and two lives bound together by chance.

Asked to befriend Rohan's famous White Lady, Lothíriel has serious doubts as to whether a shield-maiden and a princess will get on. But she was not expecting any difficulty in being civil to the lady's brother and sparks fly from their first meeting. Worse than that however, she is led into a situation that threatens her very life. Complete.

A sequel to "Choppy Waters". Seven months can be quite a long time, especially if you spend them waiting to be united with the one you love. But life does not stop and many things can happen during the winter, both in Gondor and the Riddermark.
