I have begun one story. I know where I ultimately want it to end, but I'm still figuring out how to get there. I guess I'm using it as practice, or a springboard, or something. I have a lot to learn about character development, plot, and dialogue. I can't take myself too seriously about these lessons; thus the borrowed characters, borrowed setting, fan-fic environment. I'm looking forward to constructive criticism and also to laughing at being flamed.

I'm picky about grammar and spelling, but not in a traditionalist, English-Teacher sort of way. I just like to not be distracted by misspellings and ambiguities, which are prevalent in fan communities. (Look! See? I split an infinitive in that sentence! An English teacher would hate that, but it's just a silly rule made up by people who think that English should be like Latin.)
