I refer to myself as An Apple Snail because of the aquarium I kept on and off for a few years. They eat all forms of vegetation, algae, and some fish. Segmented worms (a form of leech) eat them.

I was recently introduced to FanFiction in general, and hope to find time to finish and upload some things. I have sorta-philosophical arguments by the stack, because I trade those as a hobby; but that's not what you're here for. Is it?

School:

I'm at an engineering college in their Textile Engineering program. A lot of people have told me that "it's silly to pursue a textiles degree, all the clothing companies are leaving the state!" Fortunately I don't plan to work in manufacturing. Textile engineering is, essentially, solving problems with fibers and polymers. Styrofoam to styrene, the shell keeping your laptop together and the kevlar protecting an armored limousine without the spalling (fragmentation explosion) associated with rigid armor. Also fire suits, chem-bio protection, spandex, underarmor, sails, climbing gear, fiberglass, and the like.
