Early Fourth Age story, based on events in the Third Age and before (several look-backs), about a man who plays a major part in the events that shape the south of Gondor in the F.A. As the story progresses he discovers about his heritage and his bond to a legendary figure of the past. It involves Tolkien themes like Paradise lost, dwindling of great race, and blood and destiny.
