![]() Author has written 14 stories for Laurie R. King, Mysterious Benedict Society series, Sense and Sensibility, Alice in Wonderland, 2010, X-overs, Hellraiser, Harry Potter, and Team Fortress 2. Yes, it's still Hopeless. I just had to change my name for safety reasons. Books/Novellas I've read (ones in bold are my favorites): All seven of the Harry Potter books, Anne of Green Gables, The Beekeeper's Apprentice, A Monstrous Regiment of Women, A Letter of Mary, The Moor, O Jerusalem, Justice Hall, The Game, Locked Rooms, Language of Bees, God of the Hive, Twilight, A Study in Scarlet, The Red-Headed League, A Wrinkle in Time, Dying for Chocolate, Pipi Longstocking, Beezus and Ramona, Ramona Forever, Henry Huggins, Henry and the Paper Route, The Phantom of the Opera, The Mysterious Benedict Society, The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey, Fear Street: Killer's Kiss, Goosebumps: Say Cheese and Die!, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Thief of Always, Weaveworld, The Hellbound Heart, Coraline, The Circle(very thought provoking, but the main protagonist and the ending sucked), Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (SO much better than the movie in my opinion, by the way!) and Good Night Mr. Holmes. Books I ought to finish: Anne of Avonlea, The Lovely Bones, The Scarlet Gospels, The Hiding Place, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Sign of Four, and Beekeeping for Beginners. Books I refuse to read: Phantom of Manhattan (damn you, Forsyth!), anything written by the Marquis de Sade (Mom's orders), Fifty Shades of Grey (bad Twilight smut fanfiction that should have stayed a bad Twilight smut fanfiction; plus, from what I can tell, it promotes abusive relationships and doesn't understand how BDSM actually works) Movies I Like (in no particular order): Mary Poppins, Wreck-It Ralph, Hitchcock, Saving Mr. Banks, My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks, Silence of the Lambs, the Devil's Carnival, Repo! the Genetic Opera, the Hellraiser series (except for the last two), Remains of the Day, Sense and Sensibility, the Great Mouse Detective, Exorcismus (a diet Exorcist film that's actually quite good), Wishmaster, the Phantom of the Opera (1989), Dolls, the ABCs of Death 2, and more that I'll put later. Movies I Don't Like: Drag Me to Hell, the Mole Man of Belmont Avenue (boring, annoying, a complete waste of my time and a waste of Robert Englund's talent; KILL WITH FIRE.), Proteus (hopefully the only truly bad non-Hellraiser film Doug Bradley was involved in) Films I Have Mixed Feelings About/Am Indifferent to: Maleficent, Hellraiser: Deader, Bram Stoker's Dracula, the ABCs of Death, the Gerard Butler version of the Phantom of the Opera, Saw series (boyfriend made me watch it) Films I Want to Watch: the Nightmare on Elm Street series (So far I've only seen the first one), V for Vendetta, Candyman, the Phantasm series, Magic, Big Hero Six, Coco, Pretty Much All the Disney Movies I haven't seen yet (with some exceptions) Film I'm Hesitant to Watch: Suspiria (lots of blood and the US trailer nearly gave me a heart attack, but the sets look amazing) Films I REFUSE to Watch: Fifty Shades of Grey (same reason as the book. Also, I've heard that the lead actors didn't get along very well and were disturbed by what they had to do and the director was frustrated with Ms. James' "vision." Same goes for the sequels [please don't let her write anymore books or direct anymore films].), Escape from Tomorrow (or at least not until I've gone to Disney World myself), Where the Dead Go to Die (both the Mysterious Mr. Enter and AniMat have told people to stay away from this film because of how f*cked up it is. If you're smart, you'll stay away from it, too; in fact, don't even look it up) About my important OCs: Hellraiser: Name: Katherine "Kari" Cotton (various stories that I have in mind) Name: Justine (appears in most of the same stories as Kari) Name: Laveda Amaniah AKA "The Artist" Name: Aluf Amaniah My Announcements: 11-30-10 Hey, I decided to make a community for the stories about the people from the Institute in the Mysterious Benedict Society section. If anyone here is a fan of that series, do you think you could help me? You can help by writing more stories about the people of the Institute (Mr. Curtain, McCracken, Martina, Jackson and Jillson could use some stories written about them and it wouldn't hurt to add more S.Q. stories.) or by becoming a member of the staff. (I'm the only one working there, please help me!) If you want to be part of the staff, just PM me and I'll send an invitation if you want to call it that. 2-9-11 Well, with help from my sister, the Jar of Hearts video is complete. It's not exactly the same as the story but it's finished. I did the directing, my sister did the editing. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh09t9ifs7Q Enjoy! =) 1-2-14 Princess Luna (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) I love this show! =) Stories that I definitely WILL be doing: Say My Name Category: Sense and Sensibility Horror Fortress 2 (Actually 1, But Who Cares?)--(Series of Chapters)--Considering Canceling it Due to Loss of Interest in TF2 and very little feedback; still want to do a multi-crossover thing though. Abandon All Hope Blood Trials (Title Pending) Hellraiser: Hellworld Revised Couples that I like and I (hopefully) will write about: Holmes/Russell (Sherlock Holmes/Mary Russell series)-Yay! This is my all time favorite detective couple which definately proves that age doesn't matter. I have a few ideas up my sleaves for them. Luna/Neville (Harry Potter)-These two should have ended up together in the book, it would have made a lot more sense than Neville marrying someone that only pops up occasionally and Luna ending up with a made up nephew of the person who wrote "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." S.Q./Kate (Mysterious Benedict Society)-I didn't think of this idea at first but Kahlan pointed out that this is a possible pairing and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it so expect some stories with these two together. Fluttercord AKA Fluttershy/Discord (My Little Pony)-I honestly think that if Discord were to end up with anyone in the mane six, it should be Fluttershy, since she's the only one who promised not to turn him back into stone with her Element. DisLuna and Dislestia come next. Clarice/Hannibal (Silence of the Lambs)-Hollywood, why are these two not together?! They're canon in the book so they may as well be canon in the films too. Pinsty AKA Pinhead/Kirsty (Hellraiser)-A pairing that can go many different ways: Elliott Spenser wants to regain his humanity and needs Kirsty's help to do so, Xipe Totec wants Kirsty to become his bride and is trying to seduce her, or something else entirely. If only it actually happened... *shakes head sadly* Insurgency!Harley Quinn/Insurgency!Lex Luthor, (Injustice: Gods Among Us)--just listen to the dialogue before and after Luthor's fight with the Joker to see what I mean. Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy (Batman)--the only lesbian couple I ship at the moment. Even if Ivy can be a bit of a control freak, she treats Harley much better than the Joker does. Alice/Hatter (Anything having to do with the Alice in Wonderland franchise, except for that Return to Wonderland comic trilogy [why do the comics always suck?!])-This is another pairing that took a while to get used to, since Alice was a little girl and the Hatter was already an adult when they first met, plus, in the original version, they didn't get along very well, but some people have found a way to make it work. They make Alice return to Wonderland/Underland as an adult, Hatter becoming a good friend and the two of them falling in love so I will write about these two. Couples that I think are okay, but won't write about: Kaynie or Kate/Reynie (Mysterious Benedict Society)-When my sisters and I were listening to our mother read the story out loud, me and Bev thought that Kate and Reynie should end up together but now I'm liking the pairing less and less. I will still read them but don't count on me leaving a review very often or writing them myself. Malora or Maleficent/Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)-I thought I was going to hate this pairing at first but I read this one story called "Make it Black" and it was well written and the characters as far as I could see were totally in character. But still, it's not canon and I may suck at writing this. If you want to read the story I mentioned, here's the link here. Snanger or Snape/Hermione (Harry Potter)-Okay, this was my reaction when I first discovered this pairing as a twelve year old browsing YouTube: Pingelique AKA Pinhead/Angelique (Hellraiser)-*sigh* Just read LJ1983's the Monsters' Club (particularly chapters 43 and 44 [the worst chapters in an otherwise good multi-crossover parody story]) and you'll know why I don't like them together. Maybe they slept together and Pinny (to some extent) liked it, but in my mind, his heart belongs to Kirsty. I do like the idea of Angelique being a mom though, so long as it's NOT under the same circumstances as Monsters' Club. Joker/Harley (Batman)--the guy's an abusive asshole and Harley deserves better. Pairings I will stay away from at all costs: Peter/Edmund (Chronicles of Narnia)-Everything wrong with this pairing can be summed up in one word: Incest. At least Aurora and Maleficent aren't related to each other. To whoever thought of this, I hope you have a good time in writer's hell. Any Actor or Actress/Self-Insert Character-I'm not even kidding, I wish I was. Challenges 1-15-13 Okay, the contest "It's Elementary, My Dear Wetherall" is closed, and the winner by default is Grammar Defender. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6885617/1/Mr-Curtain-and-the-Case-of-the-Enab-s-Bane I apologize to GreatKateZonkeyMachine and Kahlan Aisling, but it's been over a year now and I saw no entries from either of you, even though you told me you would enter. I will host a new contest once I have the time and the inspiration. |
