Hey Everyone!

I am a long time fan of fanfiction and have been reading stories on this site for many years, but have only now gotten around to writing my own stories and making an account. I guess I've just been more interested in reading other people's stuff than writing my own. I'm currently in law school at William & Mary, and will probably be taking a job with a law firm or the government after I finish school. I am 22 years old. I have one younger sister.

I am a huge fan of Harry Potter fanfiction, so most of my stories will probably be in the Harry Potter section. So far I have finished one novel lengh Harry Potter fic (basically a rewrite of Book 5, since I was really annoyed with Harry's attitude in that book), and that novel-length fic is part of, at least, a 3 part series I am developing. I may write some oneshots or shorter stories along the way. I have recently become somewhat obsessed with the show White Collar, so I will may end up writing some stories under that category, and I like Bones, so I may end up writing a story or two for that show as well. But my main focus right now is on the Harry Potter stories that I have been writing (hopefully I will not publish any of the stories unless I have completely finished them).

I've lived a pretty difficult life and my main characters tend to reflect my personal experiences. I use fanfiction as almost a cathartic experience, so while I try to keep everything very close to canon, I do play with the characters and storyline a bit to fit with my life a bit, or make stories go in the direction I think they should go or should have gone (I basically pretend I'm Harry Potter and go from there).

I'm definitely not a professional writer. I'm a soon to be lawyer. And though I have some plans for an original novel at some point in my life, I make no claims that the fanfiction stories I have written are Nobel Prize worthy works of literature. I know that my writing skills probably need quite a bit of improvement, and I welcome any constructive criticism anyone wants to offer (though I would not appreciate blanket condemnation, and will likely ignore any indisciminately insulting remarks). Please remember that my intended profession is not english professor or novelist. My aim is to entertain, or offer individuals who have been through tough times the same cathartic experience I recieved by writing some of these stories.

Any similarities to the Harry Potter series, written by J.K. Rowling, or the storylines of any TV shows about which I subsequently write, or any fanfiction stories, are unintentional (unless otherwise credited).

I will be posting my first story soon. Please read and review!
